These things are a pain! When you first power up a lot of New Workd ovens, they come up in AUTO mode and the oven won't work, so you have to take it out of auto mode and stop the clock flashing. I'm giessing that though your clock DISPLAY isn't working, the clock is and the oven think it is.

There are 6 buttons below the clock display. To take it out of AUTO and stop the clock and oven thinking the display is flashing:

Numbering the buttons from left to right as 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 (because they have silly symbols!) press the 4th button (a picture of a hand) you will hear a little click and the oven will now work. If you have to power the unit off for more than about a minute at any time, you will need to do this again

I have a New World - Elegance double gas oven and the clock is broken, hence we cannot use the oven. Any suggestions as to how to by-pass the clock?

Hopefully, if you do as suggested in the original solution, it may work:
Numbering the buttons from left to right as 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 (because they have silly symbols!) press the 4th button (a picture of a hand) you will hear a little click and the oven will now work. If this doesn't do any good, get back to me

Hi, I have a similar problem with a New World E90DOa, I have had to reset the time a few times in the past but this there is no display at all, pressing buttons doesn't bypass auto so oven won't come on. Could the timer be shot. I have looked online for a replacement but can't see any. Can I bypass the clock so at least I can use the oven?
    Thanks, Graeme.

New World G60M Gas Built-In Single Oven - clock/timer is displaying a P and 00:00?

It sounds like the oven timer is set and it is waiting for you to set the start time. I tried to find a manual, I found one, but not sure if it is right. I am in Canada and this is a UK brand, so this link might work better for you.

GE Wall Oven Model # JKP07G0D2BG - The clock has quit working. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I assume the display for the clock/timer is now blank. If the oven is still working the only thing you are missing is the clock. If you can't do without it you will need a new clock.
Most of the time the clock/timer stops working it affects the operation of the oven, the oven won't work. If this is the case you will need a new timer unless you can do without the clock/timer. If so a repairman should be able to bypass the clock with ease so that the oven will operate without the clock/timer.

My90 duel fuel range master cooker : The two fan ovens and the clock have stopped working but the grill and all hobs are fine !! any solution??

the ovens work through the clock auto contacts if the clock not working then the ovens wont. may need a new clock or you can bypass the timer relay contacts if your clever. one of the oven elements may have blown to earth this is the main reason for a clock failing

I have a new World twin line gas oven. Model 136/7 or CGK-21515. The programmer has stopped working. No lights, nothing! I have tested the mains supply to the plug and its fuse which are both fine. I have...

Guess you've either solved this, managed without the programmer or bought a new oven. Which ever way it is I still can't give you an answer even now - just sympathy since my identical oven has exactly the same fault. I can't imagine why there would be a cut out for the programmer on the fan circuit board. but I checked my fan board anyway and all appeared to be well.

Electric oven & grill not working no digital clock display

If there is a display on the clock and you cannot reset it to manual, then the oven will not work, if you cannot reset then you will probably need a new timer fitting.
They can be bypassed, but not recommended unless you know what you are doing..
If there is no display at all , then check to make sure you have supply to oven
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Oven will not switch on

My Smeg oven will not work either. All I get is an "A" on the display, the clock has disappeared and as a result the oven won't come on. I see from other postings here I can bypass the clock so that the oven works again - can anyone advise how I do this?

Smeg oven model SA708X--Clock faulty

hi, if you have a faulty clock it is likely the relay in the clock is stuffed you could try to repair it but i think you are better off just buying a new clock, clocks are expensive thou, so bypassing is a good choice

Not functioning

clock can be bypassed. you will have to get at the clock connections though.
you will see a recangular box on the clock pcb which is in fact a relay. next to it are two connections with fairly heavy wiregoing to them. join these together and the clock is then bypassed. you can get female to 2-male connectors which are very convenient for doing this. i must have bypassed hundreds of clocks over time

Clock

why did you have a new clock fitted and did you do it yourself? check at the clock to see if power present. if not, check the wiring loom to see if any breaks especially at any plugs and sockets. if you do not use the automatic function, you may want to bypass the clock
