Hello; there are almost Always screws holding them on. There are very likely small rubber or plastic covers to cover up where the screws are. Look around where the speakers are mounted and then look for circular or other shaped covers that you can peel or pry off. Another possibility is the shape of the whole front/rear cabinet is made to "look" like they are removable. In this case a Chainsaw will do the job. John

CS-2724R speakers starting to sound distorted. Can speakers be replaced @ home or must be done by qualified tech? Will replacing speakers likely fix problem or could the diminishing audio quality be a...

Replacing speakers are not a skilled work, can be done at homw. But, reason for distortion should be troubeshooted before replacing the speakers, and make sure that the distrotion is due to damaged speakers itself. Otherwise it will be a waste of money. It will be best to contact any service technician.

Speakers are mounted on the side of tv (mitsubishi CS 40503 1995 model) want to remove them and have them in a different location

"Speaker: Internal/External" controls which speaker (built-in or external) is available. Set to "Internal" for normal operation of the internal speaker system. When connected to external speakers or an external audio system, the speakers can be turned off by setting this function to "External."

From reading this I see that the speakers may be internal because the setup allows to switch between external or internal. A mounted speaker is either permanent, part of the case, or has something that the speaker case slips into. I had one like that. You simply lift them and set them else where. How far they can be moved will depend on the wire. The wire is either attached internal through the back or attached via connectors on the back. That can either be loose wire or RCA plugs. Normally the wire coming from the speakers is attached internal, making the removal of them impossible. The wire is usually 3 to 6 feet long. You can buy an external speaker wire that has RCA plugs (and or plain wire) that will attach to the existing speaker wire and TV.

Good luck and post back

I have a Mitsubishi cs-35505 tv. This model is an oldie, from '96, but still works... kind of. The remote is not really functional, even with new batteries and the internal speakers got turned off. I...

If you feel the remote is bad, you will need to find a new remote. The best option here is to find the MCM Electronics website. They will have a brand replacement. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!

How do i change out the dash speakers on a 1992 wrangler?

There are 4 studs on each side that the speaker mounts to. On these studs there are single thread nuts that have to be removed. On the passenger side all you have to do is get your hand up behind the dash and feel around the speaker for them. They come off easily as long as you don't inadvertently mix up the righty tighty/lefty loosy rule.
The driver side is a bit more of a hassle. You have to remove the e-brake mounting bracket( 2 nuts on the engine side of the firewall and 1 bolt holding it to the instrument panel) and somehow get your hand past a big bundle of wiring to reach the speaker mounting studs. I found it easier to remove the dash mounting bolts on the drivers side so I could pull the dash back a bit and get more room.
I would also recommend replacing the speakers with water resistant marine speakers and either use a spacer between the speaker and dash or cut out the existing grill so the tweeter has clearance.

Hello, I have a very old mitsubishi color tv, model cs 2657r, which I purchased in the late 1980s. The picture is still great, and I'm trying to connect two small external speakers, though the internal...

Try stripping the speaker wires and exposing it about 1 inch. Then connect the speaker wires in a way that the part that grips or holds the wires touches the metal part and not the insulation. If there's still no sound, Please check the external speakers to see if it's working by using them in another device like a home system or audio player or maybe another tv that has an external speaker port. If not, mostly likely the switches are defective and needs replacement by a qualified technician.

Hope this helps.

Mitsubishi cs-26201 with "speaker off" - how to turn back on?

After a pulled plug got me Speaker off I was frustrated for weeks and found no solution online until I looked at a site offering original remotes and realizes I was using a VCR's remote for the TV. The Manual was long ago destroyed and is not available online that I can find, but I dug around for the oriignal remote and clicking the Audio button repeatedly brought up the Speaker: Off option and then it was just a press of Adjust to turn it back to On - problem solved.

I don't know if there is a way to do it without the remote, but the only controls on the TV are those on the front and in addition to steps people online suggested I think I must have tried every combination possible of pressing those in sequence or together as well as everything I could think of on the other Mitsubishi remote and the Universal remote I had been using.
