I've bought a S/H car fitted with the excellent Alpine CDM 7871 R head unit. When I start the motor up and switch the radio on I have to search for stations each time as it doesn't store the last set it...

this is one for a radio tech but generally if it will not store set stations then it is finger trouble and that means the way you are selecting and saving stations Most systems you find the station you want and then hold down that preselect button until the station moves on. For a correct answer find a shop that sells and installs your brand of wireless and have then explain the procedure of setting and saving selections.

I cant get my subwoofer to work in radio mode. they work fine in CD mode, but nothing in radio? help

Make sure the antennae input is plugged into the back of the head unit. There should be a lead behind the dash coming from the car for the antennae. This will plug straight into the back of the head unit to receive radio signals.

You are losing the permenant 12VDC on the Radio. This is the thick yellow wire from the radio loom, it has to be connected all the time to 12VDC.

How to change radior on 1999 landrover dicovery

I'm assuming Radio - in which case just get some release clips (varies from radio to radio) and insert them and then using the clips pull the radio towards you. IIRC the D2 uses standard ISO looms so you should be able to plug straight in.
If your vehicle had premium Audio, the loom may be different as the premium system goes through a amp under the passenger (RHD) seat. On LHD vehicles it may be under the drivers seat. If you have a CD Changer under one seat, it'll be under the other! These may require either an adaptor loom or the plug being modified.

No radio will work in my car: Light just come on that it not even on the screen.

if you've used the loome plugged into the car check that the wires line up and the car has enough wires most new head units have 6 wires while most older cars only have 5 therefore you need to bypass the stereos ignition wire by joining it to the live wire and reconnecting all other wires as they would on the loome

I am scraping my M reg ford fiesta, radio is good

there should be a short section of wiring loom from the rear of the head unit to two connector blocks. These a usually universal from car to car, just take that from the fiesta and plug straight into peugot. Failing that you can buy them at most auto factors.

No radio sound from my IVA-D310E

neither of those units use fibre optic cables! but it sounds like you puled out the antenna wire behind the head unit. if you try and search radio stations without the manual tune on and it keeps changing frequency on it and never stops then its the antenna plug.

Radio stations

The +12V_Memory (pin 4 on A connector) must be connected to a permanent (not shutoff by ignition key) +12V.
