Problem with "model selection connection" message on touch screen

My touch screen reads: "A problem has been detected with the model selection connection" and I cannot get any response from any of the buttons to access the troubleshooter menu.

Is there any help for me?

GE Dryer - Profile Harmony
DPTGT750GC1WW and perhaps others.

If a screen comes up with "model selection connection". It could be the motherboard that has problems. Most likely not the touch screen.

Possible solution - Before calling for repair.

- First unplug the dryer for two minutes.
- Hand spin the dryer drum one or two turns while unplugged. ( in case motor was over heated)
- Make sure the dryer door is fully closed.
- Plug in (after the two minutes).
- Cross fingers
- Start.

- Let dryer cool between loads when possible.
If this fails you may need to call for repairs. I think GE has one year repair plan unless you bought extended plan. If you paid with credit card, see if it was a paid with a credit card that extends warranty another year. Perhaps look into this "card choice" for your next high end purchase.
Only if this helped...Donations_M.D.,box774,Fairfax,CA - Another try if this fails - If you dare - Unplug, you can remove about three screws holding top panel on (on rear) and tilt top forward. Check to see that all connectors are seating well on motherboard. (White box in center). Hope see works for you!

This is one link that shows how in pdf (however if you provide your exact model and operating system, you can get a clearer answer) https://www.lenovo.com/shop/americas/content/user_guides/a720_ug_en.pdf
touch screen starts on page 12
2.1 Touch Screen Calibration Prior to first use or whenever the touch screen reacts in a different place where you are touching it, start the calibration program. The procedure is as follows: 1. In Windows 7, Select "Start" - "Control Panel". 2. In Control Panel, select "Hardware and Sound". 3. In "Hardware and Sound" window, select "Tablet PC Settings". 4. In "Tablet PC Settings" dialogue, click "Calibrate" button. 2.2 User Gesture Instructions for the Touch screen The Touch screen supports single touch and rotational movements, enlargement and reduction multi-touch operations, and the user can transmit position information to the computer via touch. The touch screen uses a very low pressure movement recognition method, which only needs the finger to move lightly on the computer display screen or make a simple hand gesture to be detected by the main computer processor.

My ipod recognises the wifi network but can't connect

The iPod touch has the ability to connect to Wi-Fi networks, giving you access to information while on the go.
The iPod detects both protected and unprotected networks, and can remember which Wi-Fi networks you have used before, eliminating the need to enter passwords more than once.
Your iPod touch should automatically detect wireless networks, but you can also manually connect to a network or switch to a new one.
Tap the "Settings" icon on the home screen and tap the "Wi-Fi" button.
Tap the "On/Off" button to turn your Wi-Fi on. Press the "Home" button to return to the home screen.
Tap the Safari Web Browser application or any other application that requires Internet access.
A list will automatically open on your screen that names all available networks.
Tap the network you wish to use from the list.
The networks listed are all wireless networks detected by the iPod.
Protected networks will have lock icons to the right of their names.
Enter the password if the network you have selected is protected.
Your iPod touch will store this password for future use.
Type in the name of the network you wish to use if it is not listed.
A network that is set to not broadcast will not show up on the list of available networks.
Check the top left of the screen for the Wi-Fi icon to be sure you have connected.
The number of bars on the icon indicates the strength of the signal.
Manually Connect
Tap the "Settings" icon on the home screen and tap the "Wi-Fi" button.
Tap the "On/Off" button to turn your Wi-Fi on.
Tap a network listed under "Choose a Network..."
The networks listed are all wireless networks detected by the iPod.
Protected networks will have lock icons to the right of their names.
Enter the password if the network you have selected is protected.
Your iPod touch will store this password for future use.
Type in the name of the network you wish to use if it is not listed.
A network set not to broadcast will not show up on the list of available networks.
Check the top left of the screen for the Wi-Fi icon to be sure you have connected.
The number of bars on the icon indicates the strength of the signal.

I have an iPhone 3G. It was in service for several years, registered in my name, but I got a 3gs. I know I recall the unlock code but it says it is wrong. It is an unlocked phone so after my PC aka...

I don't know if we can save all the information on your phone (Unless you have a backup). But if you want to unlock your phone, but risk loosing your contacts and other info (Again; unless you have a backup), then follow these steps:

First, you'll need to put your iPhone into recovery mode.
  1. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes.
  2. Plug your USB cable into your computer.
  3. Turn your iPhone off by holding the power button down until you see "slide to power off". Do as instructed.
  4. Now press and hold the Home button while reconnecting the USB cable to your iPhone. After iPhone is connected it should power on the device.
  5. Continue holding the Home button, you will see the Apple logo appear and then finally a "Connect to iTunes" will be displayed, now is the time to release the Home button.
  6. A box will appear saying "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes."
  7. You have successfully put iPhone into Recovery Mode. Now you will have to restore from a backup file or setup as a new iPhone.
Word of warning before you begin:
Restoring your device will erase all data from your iPhone or iPod Touch, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, calendar information, and any other data. All iPhone or iPod Touch settings are restored to their factory condition.

1. Connect your iPone to your Mac or PC.

2. When your phone is detected, select it in iTunes under the list of devices. If your iPhone is not responsive and iTunes does not detect it we must put your phone in DFU mode. While it is connected, simply hold down the home and power button together for about 10 seconds, then release the power button while continuing to hold the home button. A few seconds later iTunes should detect your iPhone,

3. Select the "Summary" tab.

4. Select the "Restore" option.

5. You will now be prompted with a screen that asks if you wish to back up your iPhone before restoring.

*
If you are jailbroken, it is my personal opinion never to use a backup when restoring. Some may disagree, but in the end it is up to you.

6. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you.

7. Once the restore process has completed your iPhone will restart and the Apple logo will appear while booting up.

8. After the restore is complete and your iPhone restarts you will see the "Connect to Activate" screen. You must continue to keep your iPhone connected to complete activation.

9. The final step is to restore your iPhone or iPod touch from a previous backup or to set your iPhone up as new. Once that is complete iTunes should detect your iPhone and you are good to go!

*If jailbroken, and you want to play it safe this is where you would like to set you iPhone up as new.

10. Done!

Hope this helped, and that you're able to restore your phone.

Mp 4 player is sturucking and machine not detecting

Try manually reseting the player before pluging it back into the comnpter. There should either be a reset button on the outsde of the mp3 player. If it is a ipod follow this depending on your model:

  1. Determine what type of iPod you have. If you have a classic, nano or shuffle model, you will need to reset using the click wheel. If you have a Touch model, you will need to use the sleep/wake and home buttons, located on the face of the iPod.
  2. Place your iPod horizontally on a flat surface with the LCD screen up. This position allows you to apply even pressure to the different buttons, and will keep the Touch's accelerometer stable.
  3. Toggle the hold function a few times and then make sure it is set to the unlocked position. This will ensure that the buttons on the iPod (particularly on click-wheel models) are not malfunctioning due to a loose hold button.
  4. Press the "menu" and the middle "select" button at the same time, if you have a click wheel model. For those with a Touch model, hold the sleep/wake button and the home button simultaneously. It is very important that these buttons be pressed itogether, or the iPod will not reset.
  5. Hold the buttons down for 10 seconds. You will then see a black screen with an Apple logo, with a status bar at the bottom. If the reset is successful, the iPod screen will return to normal after a minute or so.

Cect phone a8+ freezing

If you are talking about the touch screen not being responsive at all under normal conditions, read on.
First try calibrating it. There are 2 ways to get to the calibration screen. Please use the stylus to calibrate!
The fastest way is to be on the slide-lock screen & hold the side volume button in the Up position until
"Press volume down key to check" comes up onscreen. This may or may not work on all firmware versions
on the current i9, but works on most. Make sure to hold the button firmly in the Up position. You will first
see the normal volume speaker icon show onscreen and the volume rise, but just keep holding it Up, and
eventually you should see the pop-up box noted earlier. The moment you see that pop up onscreen,
immediately press the side volume button in the down position. A white calibration screen should now
show & you can calibrate the touch screen using the stylus. Try to tap as close to the center of the little
pulsating icons as possible, as this will more accurately calibrate your touch screen. If the calibration
screen didn't come up using that method, then you can get to it from the Main menu screen.
Select "Settings", then select "Pen calibration", & follow the previous instruction.

No response from touch screen after reset

Hook the Tomtom using the USB cable to your computer. You should see the Tomtom drive under My Computer as a drive letter.

Backup all data from the Tomtom to a folder on your computer. Now select the Tomtom drive and right click, select properties, select tools, and then Check now. Allow the computer to fix any problems with the Tomtom drive. Once this is completed. Remove the USB cable and do a reset. Now turn on your Tomtom and it should work.

Dryer is acting up. so, it hasnt been used in about 2 months.  it sat out in a cold garage.  but was back up to 'room temp' when we hooked it up.  the gas line is secure.  the venting is proper.  the dryer's level.   after turning it on, not much has happened.  a faint 'beeping' signal comes out of it every few seconds or so, and signal lasts about 2 secs.  the dryer will tumble and kinda gets a weak luke-warm.  i heard this clicking (blower motor i think) as if it were a rotating clicking noise.  then i heard what sounded like a piece of plastic drop.  then poof! the blower kicked on and the dryer started crankin'! working great.  thought maybe something needed to settle.   note* i did have this dryer on its side while moving it in the back of my pick-up truck.  (which was covered from the elements w/ a cap & laid on soft blankets).* after several uses some serious noises started coming out of it.  a severe clicking rotating plastic thumping, sounded like hard plastics banging, clicking rotating, hard to explain.. i reset the dryer.  now it starts up, and just rotates, blower never kicks on.  doesnt really get hot, back to a weak luke-warm.  (i threw a wet towel in there..nothing, no heat/blower)  nothing going through the vent either.  so..i was thinking about pulling the back off, but figured i'd ask you guys first. also, do you think it's worth it to call in a Sears professional?  costs involved?   yeah man, any help would be appreciated, the thing's out of warranty, and well..i need a working dryer, full household.  laundry piles up!   - thx, Angelo
