Question about Brother PE-150V Computerized Sewing Machine

1 Answer

Problems Hi i am using my grandmother's machine and it is the pe-150 v. I was embrodiery the other day and the machine ate the material. It was caught under the needle so i had to cut it out and now everytime i get ready to embroidery it does the exact thing. I have rethreaded the machine several times and also change needles so i was hoping you could help. Do we need to carry it to a repair man? It seems like it is not seeing the bobbin but when you get the hoop off the machine the top thread is around the bobbin. Please help! My email is shalawoods@hotmail.com!

I had the same problem, but I then got a shorter bobbin. what is happening is that the bobbin is too tall and the tread is getting stuck in the bobbin. It helped me from trashing my machine.

Brother PE-150 cannot read PED card

there could be something wrong with the card or the card reader
could be going out.
you might check with brother and see if there is up date for the machine
that you can download.
also if the problem persists, the machine may need to be checked

My brothers pe 150 embroidery machine has never been serviced; can i get advice on cleaning, oiling, etc.

The manual has instructions for cleaning, which is basically removing the needle plate and bobbin case and cleaning the area with a soft brush or cotton swab. Some use canned air.

There is no oiling of computorized sewing machines.

Lubrication has to be done by an authorized tech.

If you oil and get it in the wrong place, it could interfere with the computer's sensors and create more problems.

Large amount of thread on rear of material, like nest

Perhaps the needle thread tension is too loose for the material your sewing. It could be that your thread dog is clogged with thread (this has happened to me) Check your bobbin, perhaps its just wound poorly.
OR the needle you are using is too fine/heavy for the thread.
