Orbit walking sprinkler

Help. Why is my orbit walking sprinkler walking backwards? I do not know how to make it walk forwards. Is there some adjustment I accidentally hit or moved?

You probably just have the arms pointed the wrong way. To travel forward the angled part of the arm should be pointed in a clockwise direction. Aim them the other way and it travels backward.

Carb bowl gasket needs replacing were can i find one or a carb kit

Your going to have to go to a Cummings Onan Dealer for the gasket. You can however walk in to any lawn mower repair shop with the part in hand. (example match up) You will save money and walk out with the part you need in hand. I can't remember if it is the Honda GX series gasket or the Tecumseh L series that will work. Honestly is has been a while so you would be better off seeing the exact match up at the Local Lawn mower Parts source. Most RV & or Marine equipment service dealers have them also. Very common item.

I have a UST 5500 generator the cage around the pull starter is cracked looking for new cage

What your looking for is called a recoil assy. Any local lawn mower repair shop should be able to help you locate a new one. Some of these units have a Chinese 11 HP / 418cc OHV engine model ZJ188FPH on them so you will probably have to walk into the shop with the part in hand to find an exact match. They may also repair yours.

My fg6000mk 11 horse had valve break and ruined the head. where do i get parts

I am pretty sure that is a Honday 11 Hp engine. The part number for the head is

030730Q01F000 (CYLINDER HEAD ASSEMBLY)

Most lawn mower parts supply places can have your part in hand in a couple of days. I was not able to find a price for the head but I know they are not cheap.

When you call or visit the lawn mower parts store make sure you have the engine model number with you. They amy even ask for a serial number. The numbers are near the oil drain plug toward the bottom of the crankcase but under the starter.

Let your fingers do the walking on the phone first... you could drive about for sometime before finding the shop that can help you. (i.e yellow pages Lawn mower repair)

Thanks for using FixYa!

If it walks like a duck and quaxks like a duck?

If it grinds like a starter ?

Your alternator would hsve to be in absolutely unaerviceable condition to match a noise a starter makes.

I have a North Star generator running on gasoline. The idle has become erratic causing lights to go from dim to bright while running. Any ideas?

how old is the gas in your machine?? there are several things that could cause this ..how severe are the fluctuations in rpms does it go way up and way down or is it slight ?have you tried a carb rebuild? if not dont untill we try a couple simple procedures first
if it is within your expertise to follow a few simple steps i believe we can get the problem solved.first if there is any old gas in the machine dump it and clean tank also if it has a inline filter for gas replace it.if this dont cure it remove the plug and replace it with a new one or clean it good and put it back in if this dont take care of it email me at mrdmburns@cableone.net
i will walk you through a few more procedures i am more than confident we can do this and save you a great deal of money no cost to you .i hope these do fix you up but if not contact me i can even call you and talk you through some things i have no cost long distance if in us or canada keep me posted DALE

Mitsubishi mgb 4000 wiring diagram

Here is a manual for a newer mge model. I don't think your going to find a manual on the older mgb around and they tend to be very similar from one model to another so it should help. Though you should be able to get parts.

http://www.mitsubishi-generators.com/pdf/540811+NM%20Products+MGE1801-2901-4000-4800-5800-6700.pdf

As for the gfci brand, I have not had any problems with any of the brands out there. So the cheapest is the best. The 30amp socket could be 110 or 220vac. If there is a selector switch on your machine. If not, there should be a NEMA number on the face of the socket (ie 15-5R). The R stands for receptical while a P stands for plug.

Here is a plug configuratio diagram that will help identify your plug and the voltage it puts out. These are standard so you can be sure that if it the same plug it will put out the same power. Be carefull to ensure which side is larger or has a tab is correct.

http://www.frentzandsons.com/Hardware%20References/plugandreceptacleconfiguratio.htm

While replacing the plug just swap wire for wire in the same place as your new plug. Gold connector to gold and silver to silver.

The inside of a small generator is very similar and if this don't help I can walk you through any connections you have questions on. Pictures would help if it comes to this.

Running when in standby mode

Are you sure this is not normal?

Read your manual.

Most of the larger generators do a test run once a week or so to make sure everything is working ok in case of a power falure.

Brass Champion Sprinkler Valve

The lowest sprinkler head usually leaks until all the water is out of the system. The valve that controls the sprinkler system has a vaccum breaker valve on it. When there is no pressure from the water main the vaccum valve opens allowing the sprinklers to leak water so the house water won't get contaminated from the grass and dirt in your yard.
