On aspire 5517 how can I get the forward slash or the question mark. everytime I try to get it I get the letter é .

Your keyboard may be set to the wrong location.
check control panel / region and language / keyboard / from here you can set the default keyboard, if your region is not listed, click add, add your region, then set it as default.
If this is not exactly how to do it with your version of windows, google changing default keyboard plus your OS

Try checking the language settings in the keyboard settings?

sometimes if its set to U.S or another language some of the keys may do different things

When I try to get a question mark when I am emailing I get a french E instead. My question mark works other places however, like here - ? I also noticed that the other keys like forward slash etc are not...

You can effectively remove Keyboard.Bug from your computer with Exterminate It!. software
After installing the program, run a scan to display a list of the files associated with Keyboard.Bug in the Scan Result screen and remove these files. For information about running scans and removing malware files, see theExterminate It! Help.

When I hit forward slash my audio deck comes up on the screen. When I hit hyphen, the volume shows up on the bottom of the screen. How do I correct this?

It sound like your "CTRL" key or some other function key is stuck on your keyboard. I would try another keyboard on your computer. If the problem goes away then the problem is with your keyboard.

Have your laptop model L300 and trying to download antivirus protection but, need forward slash to do so. I can't activate it, please help.

You may need a new keyboard. But a good work-around is to go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, Accessibility - and choose the on-screen keyboard. This will allow you to type without actually using your keyboard... if one of your keys does not work, you may need a new keyboard.. use the work-around until you purchase one.

Samsung v 25 laptop

It sounds like your keyboard is setup as the US version, hence the keys being the wrong way around.

Go into the control panel, keyboard settings and change it to UK. That should cure your problem

Hi jan,
You just need to change the keyboard setting under regional and language options in control panel, you will have to select united states English to make the keyboard function the proper way in English.
Make sure all the setting in the keyboard optins is set to English for everything to be in English s wanted.
