First check the disk if its has any starch which can cause this problem try another disk and check if you have the same problem ,if the problem persists you will need to return the player and get another player as this player is defective...

Try another input - output - use another way to connect the dvd into the tv.

S video for example, or if you have anything else try that, the av - composite video may be the problem.

I cannot record from a Daewoo DVD recorder ( 8150P) through my Viera TV ( model TX-L32S20B ). The screen says No Signal and instructs me to check inputs. I've tried using all cominations of AV1 and AV2...

If you want to record from the TV to the DVD recorder you have to first select a channel on the TV that you want to record and then take an AV cable ( Yellow / Red / White ) and connect from the Monitor out socket of the TV to the AV in of the Daewoo DVD recorder. Drop a blank DVD select AV on the Recorder and press the record button.

Connect the sky to the tv using a scart from the one marked tv on the sky box.Connect a scart from the one marked vcr on the sky box to av2 on the dvd.You then select av2 as your record channel on the dvd.

I have a Panasonic DVD Recorder DMR-ES30VEB could you please tell me if this will still be able to record if I buy a new Panasonic digital TV??

Yes, connect to AV2 and you can select the output for AV2 from the menu.
Most tv's send a selectable signal out through av2 but if you match to your Panasonic, you may find it will automatically set up with the dvd recorder(like Sony Smartlink)
You simply go into the menu, select the av2 output set up and pick what you want to record. I.E. dvt, av1 etc.

Setting up the Panasonic DMR-E55 DVD Recorder

If the freeview box has a SCART output, connect that to either AV1 or AV2 on the Panasonic. To record, select either AV1 or AV2 as the input. Use the other AV to connect to the TV to playback.

DMR-EZ47VEB multi-region unlock

Got to this site www.multiregionupgrades.com/upgrades.htm and choose your model. You can rent a 'Service Remote' for your machine, which you have to return (£24.99 for about 14 days). When you get it you just follow the instruction and press 1 button on the remote and it automatically switches your machine to multiregion. Thats it!

Panasonic dvd recorder dmr ez47veb

If your cable is connected with just a scart lead (in AV2) you just put the recorder onto the AV2 channel. You need to connect the cable decoder to the recorder via an arial lead to be able to tune it in but there is no need just use the AV channel.
