Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3i Cellular Phone
My bluetooth modem on the V3i was working fine till 10 days ago and I could connect through my pda and my laptop, for the last 2 months. Then 1 fine day it stopped, and I have not been able to get it going again. I spent an hour with the service provider (airtel). We did the following- 1. Checked and re-entered the settings on the phone and pda. (both are correct) 2. Switched off/ soft reset and restarted. 3. Unpaired and re- paired the devices. 4. Entered extra string modem commands on the pda. 5. Removed memory card on the phone. 6. Reset Cache in "Browser" in the phone. 7. Each one of these has been done before and after a switch off and switch on/ soft reset. I have tried all these on my own too.
The message I get is "the answering modem has disconnected... please check settings..."
The service provider has given up and have just asked me to change the handset saying the v3i modem is known to give problems.
In response I say (and they do not listen) that everything else seems to be working fine. For eg-
1. I am able to use all other bluetooth services between the two.
2. I am able to dial phone numbers from my pda through my phone via bluetooth.
3. The error message comes after the following stages have been passed-
- Opening Port
- Connection established
- Dialling number *99***#
- Verifying pin and registering
- Registering... on network
- Error "the answering modem...."
Please Help. I cant afford an new phone yet.
