When emptying the washer, we have started to notice that dark clothing has bleached areas. We have changed from the tablets in a bag inside the drum to powder in the drawer, and also tried fluid, but the problem still occurs. We've had the machine for a few years, and this is only just started occuring. A black tee shirt will come out with grey or red circles or blotches on certain parts of the shirt. Any suggestions?
It wont be the machinei think.
try doing a hot wash cyle on an empty machine with some descaler powder or soda crystals to clean it out.

You were right about the machine. We've tied it down to a cheap pair of work jeans. I realised stuff only bleached when they were in there, and since we've binned them, the problem has stopped. Thanks
I have the same problem here, all coloured cloths are bleached, i tried changing the the washing powder but i still have the same problem.
p.s. my washing mashine is filled from top.
