the drum in your case is part of the cartridge, so you will need to replace the whole unit

1) try doing a full clean from within the menu on the printer, or within the computer software
2) You need to perform a half test. Put a sheet of paper on the manual feeder and do a config page from the information menu on the printer. When the back edge of the paper enters the printer, quickly open the toner door to stop the printing. Now remove the toner cartridge and look at the image below. If the defect is present, then the toner cartridge is the problem 99% of the time. There is a slight possibility that during the conditioning stage of the print process the drum of the toner is not being fully discharged so when the next stage takes places part of the previous image gets put on the toner cartridge again. Very rare. If the defect is not present then the fuser has an issue.

Hi there,
It seems that " Print on both sides (Manually)" is selected in printing options., when you want to print any document Go to file Print > select printer and click properties and disable the Manual printing option in device settings.
You should be able to get printing without errors,
if the option is not checked then check for the default paper tray,
save the settings and reboot your laptop/desktop and restart printer as well so that settings should work properly and any given command gets clear from memory, If these all settings are ok, Uninstall the printer driver and download the latest version drivers from HP website and install see links below

My HP color laserjet 4500 is printing only blank pages

This is usually the Transfer kit, but if the image drum or one of the power supplies goes bad, that can also give blank pages. The Drum problem for no print is usually a grounding/connection problem. Power Supplies are a complicated repair, but these printers aren't too bad to work on. You can buy good used one's fairly cheap on ebay, though. Should consider going to a later model CLJ if you replace with a used, though.

Usually this type of problem is related to the paper choice setting in Printer Setup within your Graphics program. If you are printing from within Windows Preview, you would need to set the values first in the Printer property pages found from Start menu, Printers and Faxes. This leads you to the default setup for your entire system. So it is more preferable to open the image in a Program vs Windows Preview and from within the program usually you go to the File Menu and then Print Preview witch allows you to access the Printer property button and setup from there or you will see a Print Setup item to click on and access the properties just for this print job alone.

Does any of this help you or have you more to offer so I can more specific?

If so, use the comment box below to reply.

Thanks,
Worldvet

Printout blank

Hi Seng, Run a self test from the printers control panel. 1. Press the printer?s ON LINE button to take the printer offline. 2. Press the Control Panel MENU button until TEST MENU appears on the display. 3. Press ITEM until SELF TEST appears on the display. 4. Press ENTER. The Self-Test will print. 5. Press ON LINE to return the printer to the online state. If it prints than you have a software issue if not it's hardware. For Software Check the Density Settings. Make sure it's not set too light. Also try printing from another app, maybe you have a corrupt print job. If you have a hardware issue come back here and I'll help you sort through those. Let me know, Dude
