It can be the game installation corrupted, does not look like video adapter problem.
Backup all the files from the game, so that you can recover all old savings, then proceed reinstalling the game, if asked chose to keep saved files.
Do a backup first.

In call of duty ghost do i need to buy 1 whole 8 gig of memory

You need to have 6 gigs of free dynamic ram.(Not including that used by the operating system and any other applications you have.

The way that memory is organised in a computer these days is usually in pairs or DRAM (dynamic random access memory) sticks which are matched. This allows the CPU to withdraw data from both memory sticks in the same clock cycle (DDR double data rate) which improves the over all speed of the processing.

So legal combinations over 4 gigs which will use the dual channel feature on your motherboard will probably be.

2 x 4 gigs sticks = 8 Gig DRAM
2 x 8 gig sticks = 16 Gig DRAM

Below is the minimum specification requirement.

Note: MINIMUM Faster CPU better graphics card and More ram is better.
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHZ / AMD Phenom X3 8750 2.4 GHZ or better CPU Speed: Info RAM: 6 GB OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 / ATI Radeon HD 5870 or better Sound Card: Yes Free Disk Space: 40 GB

Hi

Well about guaranteed your 2 gigs ram is probably DDR II ram which has maximum of four gigs with 64 bit processing and 2 with 32 bit is. So motherboard needs upgrade. 35.00 for good giabit or board with 1000 megs a sec ethernet lan. With ddrIII ram. And upgrade operating system I believe win 8 has max 16 gig ram win 7 uses 8 gis vista and longhorn 64 use 4 and xp normal edition 32 bit uses 2 max. So you about have to run win 7 or 8. Win 7 will become direct x incomparable at some point making us change to win 8. Win8 cost like 300 to 350 and tiger direct.com has good deal of the win 7 pro media center for 75 bucks. So spend 150 on good speed 8 gig ram, 125 bucks for 12 core and at 4 GHz I think. And a board for 35. Reuse all other componets. And you\'ll have a 2500 dollar computer and best on the block. Sims 3 has stopped working

Hi, What OS are you running? win 7 , XP? If win 7 right and give admin rights.

I had a similar problem but seems that Sims 3 needs a good graphics card. I was using my onboard graphics. I put in a graphics card that I had, 1 gig Geforce 9800. Now sims 3 is working great. I hope this helps

Shadows of Amn crashes randomly when I try to save. I am running Snow Leopard, 2 gigs ram, 3d off. Is there a fix for this crashing?

This happened to me, also. I don't remember which forum it was, but I found a solution. The problem is Spotlight. You need to prevent it from "looking" at the files in the game, as it causes crashes. The path is: System Preferences (under the 'Apple' in the upper left of the screen --> Spotlight (sub-heading of 'Personal') --> in that window, you can toggle between "Search Results/Privacy". Go to "Privacy" and drag the entire BG II folder into the window. This will prevent the crashes upon saving.

Probably my Computer Ignorence. I just purchase Sim City 4. I have to load it everytime I want to play it. Isn't there a way to get a shortcut. I have a Gateway, running Vista 64.

usually when you first install it, it gives you the option to create a shortcut option to be made on your computer desktop but that's the shortest way to go into playing the game-it still has to load regardless just due to the fact that certain games (such as the Sims) require a great deal more memory and RAM (Random Access Memory) than other games.

Crashes to windows after playing about 5 minutes

Most likely the issue you are having is your computer is under powered to run both Vista Home Premium and the game. Vista is heavy on the resources and since you are running Vista Home Premium you will need more then some running the Basic version.

So the easy fix would be to up you memory upto 2 gigs. Note best practice for Vista is to have atlest 2 gigs of ram in the system.

If you still have trouble I would test the game on another Vista computer with a 2.0 or higher CPU to see if it still has trouble. If it does not then most likely it will not work on your computer.

Also if you did an upgrade from XP to Vista you might have so Windows issue. So if the test on the other computer worked you might try a fresh install of Vista to resolve any possible Windows issues.

Hope this helps

No Disc in drive E

If you installed the game using a cd then let the cd remain in the drive when you start the game, If you installed it from the HDD itself you will have to mount it to the virtual drive and start playing.

Hope this solves the issue
