AOpen monitor stuck in Burn In mode
gee a dead PC can do that does this old monitor work in 2nd good pc. Yes/no, what could be more easy for simple test. 5min work?
the manual for it covers this.
lite me make a list.
1:reset the OSD screen via the reset options.
2: turn off all auto modes in osd.
3;turn off auto, input select mode and set it manual to the correct port not told.
4 turn off auto scaler if not using VGA, or it will fail
5: demo mode may be automatic if PC is dead outside USA are you? we have laws here banning that act celled energy star, and the monitor just goes to sleep, no demo allowed here is not green./
it is not burn in, as doing that even invites LCD burn/ghosting
so is not that it is demo move and keeps moving to avoid burned lcd elements. but gee Aopen monitors stink, so, who knows no?
F90GS (2005 and before says warranty page)
the make does not support it down they ended legacy all
huge limit here is
1280 x 1024 @75Hz
the demo mode is a self test mode, it shows all is good, visually.
newer monitors now, have this as an option called test pattern.
each maker and model are different but ours go blank sleep.
why not be the first to ever post a video of so called burn in.
below click video and provide it. we love videos of screens and saves endless answers guessing what you saw.
screens have vast ways to fail, i think ive seen them all as teck for 50 years. yes back to mainframe days and VT52 and older.
do the reset in OSD
and /or
unplug it from wall AC
and hold in powerbutton to mon, and at same time plug AC in
and hold together that and for 10 seconds and release the power button , some do reset this way .
or unplug the monitor from wall AC overnite.
this can cure lightening hit latch up events. amazing no.?
also 3? kids playing with this monitor may have turned on demo or self test mode, I say cut their allowances.(grin)
