Kenmore dehumidifier - machine runs - compressor ' fan - the black ball when hanging inside everything stops. Lift the balls it runs . Solution? Temperature is around 70 / basement damp. Any suggestions ?...

Check the switch that the ball is attached to. The ball should work such that when it floats to to the top of the bucket the unit shuts off the prevent overflow. The switch may have both normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) contacts. If this is the case switch the wires from the one set of pins to the other and retest. Usually the plug will have two wires....those kind of switches has three pins. The center pin is usually the common. If this is the case move the plug from the pair on one side to the pair on the other.

Clothes roll into a ball on matag dryer

As you insert the clothing into the dryer make sure you open up the larger pieces fully so they do not ball up. Frequently people put large bed sheets in before opening them up and everything gets rolled inside them. If your load is too small, that might happen, also!

Can I use dryer balls and/or dryer sheets in the kenmore steam dryer?

Instructions
Things You'll Need:

* Wool yarn
* Scissors
* Crochet hook
* Pantyhose or sock

Make the Core Ball
1.
Wrap some of the yarn around your fingers.
2. Take your fingers out of the loop you created and close the hole by pulling the yarn through it.
3. Wind yarn around the loop until you form a ball about 2 inches in circumference.
4. Cut the yarn attached to the ball using the scissors. Try to leave a little excess yarn dangling from the ball.
5. Grab the excess piece of yarn with the crochet hook and tuck it inside the ball to prevent the ball from unravelling during the felting process.
Primary Felting
6. Put the core ball into the pantyhose or sock, and tie the open end in a knot. (If you are felting more than one core ball at a time, you can separate them within the pantyhose or sock by twisting the fabric in between the balls before tying the knot.)
7. Put the pantyhose or sock containing the core ball into the washing machine with a load of laundry.
8. Remove the ball from the pantyhose or sock when the cycle is complete. It should now be slightly felted. To increase felting, simply repeat this process.
Enlarge the Ball
9. Wrap more yarn around the felted core ball to increase its size. It's all right if you make the dryer ball a little big at first, since it will shrink over time as you use it. A good initial size to make a dryer ball is around 9 inches in circumference.
10. Cut the yarn with the scissors once you have made the ball the appropriate size. Try to leave a little excess yarn dangling from the ball.
11. Tuck the excess yarn inside the ball with the crochet hook. This will prevent it from unravelling when in use.
Secondary Felting
12. Put the dryer ball into the pantyhose or sock, and tie the open end in a knot.
13.Put the pantyhose or sock into the washing machine with a load of laundry.
14. Remove the ball from the pantyhose or sock when the cycle is complete. The dryer ball should now be felted and ready for use the next time you do laundry.

When I dry sheets they ball up into a twisted wad and do not dry evenly. Do you have advice for this problem?

Lisa I find if you put sheets in with other items such as towels this can work to prevent them rolling into a ball and not drying evenly.

Is there anyway I can prevent sheets and blankets from getting wrapped into a ball as this prevents drying

You can put one or two tennis balls in with them. There are also dryer "balls" that stores sell but tennis balls work too!

Heating element and blower work but clothes still damp

Sounds like it's operating on only one leg of the 220v. Reset breaker and try. I think you will find that this is all thats wrong.

Sheets wind together in a damp ball

I have a different model Bosch dryer, but I have the same problem.

I've found that the flat sheets dry okay if you have them in with other things (like pillowcases and t-shirts). I learned long ago though that you can't put those things in with deep fitted sheets; the little stuff winds up caught in the corners in damp wrinkly wads.

So I dry the fitted sheet separately, and throw in a couple of clean tennis balls. They're noisy, but harmless, and they keep the sheet from balling up.
