Question about Samsung CLX-2160N All-In-One Printer
I just replaced the toner for the first time in my new Samsung CLX-2160 All-in-One. I cannot get it to work, and get a "Toner Empty" error message. Rebooting, repositioning, etc does not help. The toner cartidge is a CLP-K300A but it looks a little different from the original that came with the unit. It has a little square metal contact where the original just has an empty spot. Should this be removed? Is this the right toner? Please help. Thanks.
That is the correct cartridge. It should look and work the same. Is this a Samsung cartridge or one from a third party, ie: Office Depot, OfficeMax?
Whenever you see metal on cartridges, that means it is a grounding point. I would take it back where you purchased it and have them compare it with another new one. Take your old one with you.

There could be two problems
A minor error occurs and the machine is waiting an error to be cleared. Check the display message, and solve the problem referring to Understanding display messages, see page 11.3.The toner cartridge is low. Order a new toner cartridge; see Ordering supplies on page 12.1. You can temporarily improve print quality by redistributing the toner. See page 10.4.

The error message, which you have told me, not in the error message list. I think there is an internal failure for the printer. It is always recommend servicing your printer with authorized service centers. If the error message is not in the error list, owner cannot repair but, technician can repair the printer.
