Have you checked to see if you have spark to the plug? If not you may have sheared the key between the flywheel and crankshaft. It is made of aluminum and could have sheared for this reason. This happened to me.

The screen on the bottom of the gas pickup tube was stopped up on my 5hp snowblower. Take the carborator off the gas tank and give both a good cleaning. Don't forget to replace the diaphram in the carbb. A new spark plug and it ought to run forever.

Older snow blower not receiving any spark to the plug?

Could be bad. Hope you just need to add new spark wire or just cut some off the ends.
If the other (spark creator part) is defective then many more details needed.

I did a quick search on the internet, and I found this possible source:

THey have some parts for MW lawn and snow equipment-

Try them-- if they don't have the part-- ask if they know who might--

I have a Mont Ward 500 gas heat system that the blower keeps running, Im thinking it's the thermostat. If that's it, which kind should I get?

There is a pull switch on the Fan Limit Control. Check to see if it is pushed in. Pull it Out for normal operation.

Ward Heater Company M0021

These old units have a simple gas valve and a separate regulator. Your best bet may be to replace the gas valve to something more modern. Trouble shooting this most likely be a waste of time, as parts probably aren't available, other than the thermostat. by-pass it, (connect the 2 wires together) and see if it comes on. The blower shouldn't stop the burner to come on. Sounds like the gas company doesn't want to crawl under there to light it.
