i faced this problem too....please go to contacts -) options-) settings-)

change show contacts of....both sim and phone....add contacts saved to phone memory....

1. Make sure that the contacts were saved to the sim without a doubt from the old phone. (easy way to determine is to put the sim and the old phone and go to sim management and copy all to sim.)

2. once you've determined that all of your contacts have been copied, try inserting the sim and transfering again.

3. You could also try bluetoothing them to the new phone.
a. turn bluetooth on both phones on.
b. go to contacts in the old phone with the sim in it. click options, there will be an option such as "send contact" or something similar.
c. send via bluetooth.
d. select all
e. send. (accept on the galaxy s phone)

The contact list in your other phone is in the PHONE MEMORY. So what could be done is to put back the SIM into the old phone and choose contacts, open and select- MOVE CONTACTS- SELECT FROM PHONE TO SIM and move.
once the SIM is full you can load to the new phone and tranfer using the same method. Then reinsert and follow after erasing the SIM memory.

There are two reason for this: 1. The SIM card has problem. Try to use another SIM card
2. You have saved same no. in two different caller names. So phone doesnt show any of them.

This is a very common issue with nokia phones. It occurs mainly when you have stored a particular number with more than one name.
For example if you have a number stored to your sim using one name and you have it stored to your phone memory with another name. In most cases, when you install a new SIM card to a nokia phone, it might copy the contacts from the SIM memory to the phone memory automatically and add some extra information or edit the name automatically. it looks like you had saved all info on your old mobile memory,if you still have it insert the sim and transfer all details to sim memory.

You will need a sim card in the samsung before it will work, the nokia E65 doesnt need a sim for the phone to work so move your sim into the samsung & it should transfer them over for you via bluetooth.
