Question about Gateway Computers & Internet
They say this monitor has a bad inverter board. How do I open the case and remove the board?
Screws under the front cover need to be removed at least thats the way it was on my monitor. The front frame around the display is then pushed up about three eights of an inch and then lifted off. This will reveal screws that hold the display to the unit. There are wires that connect the LCD to the inverter board and to the video board. You can determine the inverter board by the larger wires. IT will have CCFL's on it. Google CCFL to get a generic picture. good luck.
