If adjusting the temp to a wamer temp does not correct the problem you may have an air damper or thermistor problem. You must allow 8 - 12 hours between temp changes to know what the stabilized adjusted temp result is.

What do you use to control it? If it's a separate controller (not the one on the heater) than these are adjustable temp. wise. You have to claibrate it. If you are using the controller on the heater than your thermostat is the most likely culprit, but that is a problem you could probably live with. Just adjust your temp setting higher.

There has to be a control somewhere on the fridge. Some newer models have digital controls located on the outer doors panels, or its going to be inside. Read your owners manual

No adjustment. Could be bad temp control unit or bad oven temp sensor. You would have to purchase a repair manual and test the current flow to and from the circuit. And then testing the oven temp unit with multi-tester.

I would make sure that the conversion kit was the correct kit for your stove. Also, if it is not heating properly I would call the gas company and tell them the conversion did not work and they need to double check their work (at no charge). If everything is in order proceed to the next step below.


You can try removing the Oven Temp control. There is an adjustment on the knob which will vary the temp + or - 75 degrees F or so.

Procedure: Preheat your oven for 350 degrees F. Give it a good 1/2 hour to 45 minutes and then pull the knob off (usually held on with a set screw) You will need a thermometer that will go up to 500 degrees (I use an electronic one but you can use any kind as long as it is within the ovens temp range. If the oven is underheating simply turn the oven control stem to a higher setting, say a 50 degree incrament. Wait another 1/2 hour and measure temp inside oven. Keep in mind when you open the oven door it affects recovery time, etc so 30 minutes between a measurement and adjustment should suffice. Once you have adjusted the temp control to your target temp of 350 degrees look on the back of the knob and see if there is a stop adjustment. There is a chance the temp control knob could be setup differently but the same philiosphy/procedure will be similar.- the adjustment could be on the stem itself instead of the knob.

Also keep in mind that the oven temp will fluctuate from high to low as it tries to adjust to the temp it is set at. That is why it is very important to give the oven time to cycle low to high when you incrament the temp control. Hope this helps and good luck! Gary
