Question about Lexmark Printers & Copiers

I have a lexmark 8300,it is just over a year old & we have used it twice. we went to change our black ink cartridge for the first time & when we put the new one in it was telling us that the cartridge was missing? we have since gone back to the cartridge place thiking the cartridge was faulty & got another,still not working???

Used it only twice in a year with the original cartridge installed.

Leave the printer ON with the new cart in overnight then re-seat the cart at least 3x.

If it's only a month after the one-year warranty period, try Lexmark's tech support and ask what they can do for you.

Ink cartridge always has an expiry date like medicines as you had told that its an year old & you never used the cartridge so their could be a possibility that this might be gone expired. So please check the expiry mention cartridge.

After refilling my black cartridge, my lexmark X7170 AIO (on printer copy setting) prints out a blank page even after printing an alignment page showing black bars & blue dashes (no other colors?) I...


Try to print some more pages. The ink will take time to go down as it is not free flowing. This is due to the air beetween the new ink and the old ink, after some printing the air is push out and then you can have a clear print.

I was printing several pages & it just stopped working. the ink button & on button flash. Changed the ink cartridges but still get the same blinking with no printing. Turned both the computer...


Press the Ink Cartridge Replacement button and check the flash pattern of the control panel lights:
ERROR and POWER lights flash at the same speed = replace black cartridge
ERROR light flashes twice as fast as the POWER light = replace color cartridge

Printer quit!


You need to try to flush the print heads once or twice, then test print again.
  1. Go to Start > Control Panel, and go to Printers (or similar)
  2. Find your printer in there, right-click it and choose Properties
  3. You may now have to look for Printer Preferences or similar and go to it
  4. You'll now have to look for some sort of Lexmark control panel where it will have options to do a head clean. Do that. Sorry you'll have to look for it because it varies across systems.
If that doesn't help, go to Start > Programs, and look for Lexmark and see if there's some sort of control panel or diagnostics program in there.

Black ink not printing even after changing the ink twice


try to clean the printhead or the cartridge by wiping it in the wet cloth...

maybe the nozzle of the black cartridge suffered clog..
you remove the clog by wiping it...^_^_

you may check your ink cartridge

long time less using cause 3 color ink chanel(holes) a little dryer, could not print well even refilled.you may take out the color ink cartridge and put it's surface of bottom (just touch ) in the clean water 1 -2 Hrs, then set back and test it. still not fixed, you also need to do same thing if your print head is separated from your ink cartridge

I went to the Lexmark site and downloaded the manual. Looked for my problem 'Cartridge Error 50c' and found that my color ink was empty. It took some playing around, but that was it.

Black Won't Print On MFC 420 CN


Use another new genuine (original brother) BK cart. Do the cleaning twice only for BK. Wait some time (4 hours). If the ink has dryed up, the cleaning ink will break up the dryed one. Do the cleaning again. If it doesnt work, please write again.
