Do a hard reset.
hold the reset button for 15 seconds plugged in.
keep pressing the button and unplug the modem.
keep pressing for 15 seconds.
plug it back in but keep pressing for another 15 seconds.

This should have hard reseted the modem.
now try the 192.168.0.1

Where do you go on the ladtop to change mtu settings

Hello,

You cannot change the MTU settings in the laptop. You will have to log in to your modem/router using your laptop(when modem/router is connected through a cable).

Hope this helped.

How do you change the mtu settings on a sb4200

Hi,

Try to access the Web interface of your router. Access http://192.168.100.1 and look for MTU. I think it is set to 1500 by default.

type 192.168.0.1 on your address bar.
look for any settings that say MTU and change whatever is there to any number between 1400 and 1500.
Save your settings.
