I've owned the fan for a couple of years and had no problems. However, now when I use the remote to turn the fan on I hear a click, but the fan does not run. The light works from the remote.

Light works from the remote, but I only hear a click when I push the button for the fan. The fan will work occasionally but you never know when!

Check your remote sensor inside the fan housing and make sure it's wired properly. Sounds like the solonoid is not wired correctly to the light. Hope this helps. Good luck.

If you hear any humming from the fan when you're trying to turn it on, then your motor is froze. I'm thinking from your description of being able to hear the actual fan switching but getting no results, it's probably the motor.

I have a Hunter fan with remote and the light flickers without coming on completely - and you can hear a clicking noise coming from the fan. The fan works and the bulbs and batteries were changed

The pins inside the remote could have been switched or the wiring inside the fan could have come loose. Check the wiring at the fan first. The vibrations of the fan could have worked the light conrol wire loose.

Hunter ceiling fan remote problem

You will most likely need to replace the receiver with a new one from hunter. The receiver is actually a complete controller and contains the receiver, relays (which you hear clicking) and starting condensors(large capacitors which hold a charge that is "dumped" over the windings to get the motor to start from a dead stop). These appear to be pretty tightly assembled unless you have a desire to start replacing parts "off the board."

Hunter ceiling fan

Sounds like the remote receiver units (located where the mains connect to the fans) took a surge and have failed.
