The freezer cools the refrigerator, so you actually get very cold air passing from the freezer to the refrig. The air from the freezer enters the refrig on the top and falls to the bottom where it is drawn back into the freezer. The temperature of the refrig is regulated by a thermostat and a fan that runs when the thermostat calls for cooling. If the refrig thermostat is faulty and causes the fan to run more than it should, there will be a freezing problem in the refrig at the bottom because cold air falls and warm air rises. If the refrig is thermostat is calling for cooling constantly, this will take more cold air from the freezer than is normal. Your freezer temp might be higher than normal and the refrig will be colder then desired. If the fan from the freezer is running constantly I would suspect a bad refrig thermostat.
Sounds like the ice maker is allowing too much water in to the tray. There is an adjustment screw under the front cover of the ice maker. A 1/8 turn at a time counter clockwise will shorten the time the water delivery solenoid is open. It is possible that something foreign is keeping the solenoid valve to stay open too long, so it should be inspected too.
This can be caused by the drain hole below freezer coil being blocked
by ice.
You MUST remove all ice in drain under freezer coil. Use turkey baster
to squirt hot water into hole and use hairdryer to defrost. Possible
defrost thermostat is defective. Unit never goes into defrost, ice
forms on coil and in floor of freezer.
After
defrosting may work OK for a week or two but gradually gets
warmer because ice is blocking ports where cool air gets to refrig. May
also have water in refrig box. Can also be caused by defective defrost
timer.
theres a defrost control on the unit that is probebly bad. its in the upper right of the refrigerator aand depending on the unit is either solid state or mechanical
either you ice maker is overflowing,(not likely but possible) or you have a clog in your drain behind hte rear cover, not allowing defrost water to drain away in to the pan under refrig instead flowing to bottom of freezer area. rempove the rear cover and thawe all ice, especially near the middle of hte aluminum oan yull find a clogged/frozen drain tube
