I think you are referring to the setup cd that came with the router. You can easily dowload it off ther website or configure the router manually using its web based Setup page.

Program dics lost

Hi agoandmon,
You don't need a program disk for your router even if you reset the router. If you need the router software you may go to router Manufacturer website and you can download the software and firmwares. Please provide us more detail make or brand name and model # of the router so we can help you a lot better. I hope this little information may solve the problem and get the software that you need.

How do I program the wireless router to my computer if I lost the disc?

You connect a Computer via Ethernet to the router. Then, in the browser enter the ip address of the router. To get it you have to:
  1. Click START'RUN
  2. Type cmd and hit enter.
  3. type ipconfig and copy the default gateway address
  4. Go to the browser and type the IP address into.
Once there, on the management page of the router, you can configure what you need.

Lost setup disk

Unless it asks for the disk, then contact the company that you're with but normally, you don't need a setup disk, the only thing that most discs that come with routers are used for is to show you how to connect it, but if you already know, you don't need it, but once you have the router connected you should have internet connectivity.

Trying to switch routers, can't get into new Netgear to configure

To configure it you can simply contect a pc to one of its rj45 port. it will give the pc an ip address in a default range. but the must have its network connection configured to receive ip automatically.

See the status of the pc LAN connection and note the gateway ip address. then type this ip in your explore address bar to access the configuration page / program of the router.

Hope that help.

Lost Install Disk

You don't need the install disk to use the router. If you plug in the router and press the reset button on the back of the router, the you should be able to connect to the network using only the windows wireless program.

Needing help installing new Rangemax wirelss router

Try to re-run the cd but if it will still not work, another way of configuring the router is via web interface.

You can download its userguide at NetGears web site.

Hope this helps!
