Re: Settings are reset

The camera can be set to retain all your camera settings each time the camera is turned off and on. Press the OK/MENU button. Then press the right arrow to access the Mode Menu. Press the down arrow to highlight the SETUP menu. Press the right arrow to highlight ALL RESET, and then press the right arrow again to highlight ON. Press the OK/MENU to save this setting and return to the Mode Menu. The camera will now retain any settings such as Quality each time you turn off the camera.

Time and date resetting constantly...

This camera has a separate date battery. Lift up the small rectangular cover next to the main batteries. A small CR1220 battery maintains the date. Replace it and you should be OK. I just discovered this on the Canon web site.

I have a sony cyber-shot dsc-w55 cammera, and my daughter turned the dial that changes the picture modes to many times and now it only records on every picture mode...any ideas how to reset it?

Based on the information you provided, it seems that the Camera is in Burst or Multi-Burst mode.

You may Initialize the Camera as follows:

Initializing the Camera will reset the settings of the Camera to the factory settings including date and time. It will not delete any data saved in the Camera.

Set the mode Dial on Camera. then, press the Menu button on the Camera. Then, select the SETUP menu and select the SETUP 1 option of the Camera. Then, select the Initialize option to OK.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!

Nikon D80 - Singe Focus Area

once you have your settings, is there an option in the menu to save your profile? ( I do not have a Nikon DSLR..) If you can, try saving your profile and then restart again.

"Auto" modes generally are designed to reset to the pre-defined automatic settings, so it may not be possible to keep your changes every time.

Also, you can update the firmware, however there is no mention of any changes which should affect this issue.

Selected resolution will not save

You need to change the setting in the Menu of ALL RESET from ON to OFF so that it will retain any setting changes that you make. To do this Press Ok button - right arrow to Mode Menu - down arrow to Setup tab - right arrow to All Reset - right arrow and choose Off and then press Ok. This will retain the mode setting until you manually change it again or change all reset back to On.
