Question about Dell Latitude C610 Notebook
My on/off switch was working most of the time, but intermittently. Now the pc won't even turn on. The pc is fully charged and lights indicate this. I used to have to press the button several times to get it to turn on.
Is this a control board problem? any thoughts?
Not a control/motherboard problem. The problem is with the power switch that is connected to the motherboard. Lift the plastic strip with the power button in it, up at the right side, there is a notch to place a small screwdriver in to get it started. It just snaps into place, so, once you have the right side up, just lift and work the rest of it up and off. You will see the small circuit board with the power and sleep button switches on it. There are two screws holding it. This is the problem, and can easily be replaced.
