Question about Projection Televisions

I have a polaroid 32" lcd tv FLM 3232 when it is turned on the picture goes dark from left to right. It leaves a strip about three inches wide on the right that you can still see the picture. Where the picture is dark you can see shadows of the picture. Can anyone help?

My tv makes a "chirping"

If you can remove the back cover, do so. Be certain the TV is unplugged first. Inside this TV you will see two large boards on the floor, one on the left, the other on the right. Look to find jumper jacks that connect these two boards. They will be white and wide. About three inches long and a inch and half wide. Look for location number 1516. Remove one end of this. Now plug the TV in and turn it on.See if the screen lights up, stays on or just comes on for a few seconds and goes out. If you experience any thing just said, you will need to replace the convergence board. This board is located on the left. It could be other things as well, but try this first. This is a very common problem for this TV. Thanks for asking and show all hands of support!

Buzzing sound coming from TV Speakers and any external speakers

Your model has all the audio and video circuits that are all within the Control Box unit which has to be replaced as a unit. You can get one at the following link. You would have to leave them a email as they dont list the polaroid Control boxes, But I know they have one for your model. Just click on the " contact Us" link and let them know the model number they respond quickly.

im wondering if these tv's came with a cooling fan since they are so big im thinking the projection tv needs a cooling fan cause its getting too hot on the bulb and as a saftey device it shuts the bulb down try this put a circulating not circulating fan behind tv for a day see what happens with tv on the summers are going to be attrocious so this can be a problem to big tv's
dont leave tv on alone with no one being there the scary thing about that is some start poppin if hot enough and could cause fire
