Grill wont come on, tank is full, removed line from grill to tank (turned tank off first) there was a lot of pressure build up once I screwed the line. than re screwed back in opened tank. tried a few times put the knob on flame picture than pressed igintor switch and nothing happens. I do not even hear the gas pressure. I worked just fine the first time company had purchased it. we kept it clean but never bothered the burners itself just the plates covering it and such. How would I know if it was is a bad regulator??

Stephan, repeat what you did before. Except, this time leave the hose disconnected for 5 minutes, before reconnecting it. Also, open the tank valve VERY VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow) until it's fully open. Then light the burner farthest from the tank first and set it on HIGH. If it lights and the flame height looks correct, light the remaining burners the same way. If all the burners lit and the flame heights appear normal, you solved the problem. ALWAYS, open the tank valve very, very slowly.

If the above didn't solve the problem, then you will need to replace the grill's Hose/Regulator Assembly. You can pick one up at any home center or hardware store that sells grills & accessories for about $30.00. Be sure to take the old one with you for comparison purposes.

Hope this helped you and Happy Grilling!!

Gas tank is full, burners are turned on high, but flame is very low

lProblem: Low flames on grill, tank is full.

Cause: These newertanks have a device inside that limits the flow of gas to preventleaking or accidental discharge of gas from the cylinder. The leak detector mechanism inside the tank shuts off the gas whenever the valve is opened rapidly.

Solution:
Closethe tank valve and remove the tank. Check the gas line for ANY objectthat could cause blockage. Open all valves on the grill to eliminateany pressure whatsoever. Close all valves and reattach tank. SLOWLYopen the tank not over 2 turns. Check for leaks. I just open my tank atiny bit but that is just me.

Flame appearing from in back of front panel

This is usually a regulator problem, or a gas leak where the regulator line attaches to the back side of the knobs. Test for a gas leak first. You can use a mixture of water and liquid dish/hand soap. Saturate the area where the hose connection is, turn on the tank, but leave the knobs in the off position and do not hit the igniter. If there is a leak, you should see some bubbling where it is. If there is no leak, turn the tank off, open the valves (turn the grill knobs on) and bleed the gas out of the lines. Once it has sat for a few minutes with the knobs in the "high" position, turn them off. Then leave them off and turn on the tank, followed by one of the knobs and ignite the grill. see if the flame went away. I've seen this happen where there is not enough pressure in the line. Turning the tank off, the knobs on, bleeding the line, then closing the knobs and opening the tank and letting the gas build up pressure in the line before turning the knobs back on or trying to light the grill should resolve it.

Low flame

Next time you use the grill turn the gas on slowly. For some unknown reason when turned on quickly the regulator reduces the gas flow.
Another problem with some gas fittings is an auto shutoff if detects the slightest leak. Sometimes the shutoff is not 100% and allows a small amount of gas causing the weak flame.

Outdoor grill with no gas pressure, little heat

TURN THE TANK OFF , THEN REMOVE BURNER ASSEMBLY AND CHECK FOR OBSTRUCTION IN THE GAS LINE AREA . IT IS NOT UNCOMMON FOR SPIDERS TO BUILD WEBS INSIDE THE TUBES AND CAUSE MAJOR PROBLEMS

Weber grill will not heat up, reaches 200F and no higher

Also, it has to shut down the same way every time you use your grill.

Here is a Tip to fix a grill that not getting hot:
1. Turn the gas valve knob off. then close LP tank valve knob.
2. Unscrew the plastic hose coupling knob from the LP tank. You may hear a slight "hissing" sound as pressure is released this is normal.
3.Wait a minute then screw the coupling knob back on to LP Tank.
4.With lid open.slowly open LP tank valve.
5.Relight the grill the proper way by turning gas valve knob to ON position while turning the igniter knob at the same time.
6.After you are sure the grill is lit preheat the grill for 30 minutes.

This was called purging the line or releasing the air out of the line.

Another thing your orifice could be clogged with spiders or dirt. If it is LP gas check to make sure your hose is not kinked.

Propane grill

I had this problem when I turned on the burners before I turned on the tank, to fix it I had to turn everything off. Then turn the tank on and wait about a minute for pressure to build in the lines then turn on the burners. Hope this helps
