The disk tray won't open.
There is no disk stuck in there.
When I press the eject button, the words "load disk" light up and I can hear the tray trying to eject, but it never does.
Then it will say "no disk" after a few seconds and not do anything else.
THe DVD eject tray is stuck on my system as well. I tried putting in a VHS and then hitting open and that didn't work. And I can't seem to find a system reset button. Any help is very welcome! thanks!
I took a stake knife from the kitchen and pried open the tray door as I hit the eject button this got it to open, I then cycled eject and close, eject close a few times and this did the trick, I even played a DVD and that worked fine also. I had the problem with the tray not opening, and the display would read OPEN when I hit eject and I could hear it trying to open. So I wanted to make sure the tray wasn't just stuck or wedged before I took the system apart and looked for sripped out plastic gears or the belt being broken. GoodLuck email@example.com

You may try power resetting the unit and check if it helps. To power reset, turn OFF the DVD player and unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet for 30 seconds. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet and turn the player ON. Attempt to open the disc tray.
Depending on the model number of your DVD player, simultaneously press the POWER + STOP + EJECT buttons. If the disc tray still does not open, simultaneously press the DISC1 + STOP + EJECT buttons.
NOTE: This step may not apply to all models as DISC1 is not available on all DVD players.
If this does not work and if the DVD player has DISPLAY and PREV buttons, press and hold the DISPLAY+PREV buttons for two seconds to unlock the drawer.
Take cover off. Locate tray which houses the DVD. You must locate the planet gear (teeth 360 degrees) and turn that manually. It may resist if something is stuck (kid object). Find the UFO first and get it out of there. Then try to plug unit in and eject before prying or applying pressure to the gearing to drive the tray out. You may skip some teeth on the gear and the from that point on the DVD won't load or eject correctly anymore. There is a sensitive timing sequence there so if you skip a tooth, it will need to go the repair center. Take your time and examine everything and try to remove the UFO. Turn it upside down and shake, etc. Then continue to use the eject button. This is all you can do at home. If that fails find a repair center.
first try to eject the tray from windows Right click on the drive icon and seect eject, it will tr to open,, but if this dont work then
turn off your computer and locate a tiny hole near eject button insert a pin in it and press " There is lock inside the pin will release the lock" and tray will come eject...
This happens because there is a rubber belt inside attached with the motor which opens the tray as we press the eject button, and that belt is loosen up, all u can do replace the small belt and problem will get solve.
you should never use a disc thats scratched inside yiour machine its most likely your dvd machine is having trouble reading your media the best way to solve this is to unplug your machine wait turn it back on keep pressing eject
it should eject dont use that dvd disc again
hope this solves your problem
did for me
That means your trays
are on Child Lock (this is a safety feature to prevent any accidental opening
or closing of disc trays by small children when listening to your favorite tracks.) To solve this, simply switch off your radio to Standby and hold the power
button...whilst holding the power button, press open on the tray that is
locked....the system will display UNLOCKED on the display of your hi-fi. That should be it. To
lock the tray....repeat the same process on the particular tray u want
