Question about Panasonic KX-TG2383 Corded Phone
Hi, If I could, I would buy this model again but alsa, no one seems to offer this phone any more. My key pads on the cordless phone are loosing the memory - mechanically - I have to press harder now and sometimes two to three times before the entred key is accepted. can this key pad be replaced ?
I have the same phone with the same problem and didn't want to part with it either. The cause of the problem are skin oils that seep down the rubber keys, and through slots at the base of the molded pad, thereby interfering with electrical contact. There is a vendor on ebay that sells a tape like pad with larger contacts that solves the problem perfectly. Go to ebay and use the following search term (I know this isn't the same model number, but its apparently compatible) :
Panasonic KX-TGA230 KX-TGA270 KX-TGA230B BUTTON FIX
The price is 5.95 including shipping. The repair pad will come with an instruction sheet, or you can go to the website on the instruction sheet and download about a 40Meg video file that shows you exactly how to make the repair. My phone operates with a nice light touch now that its fixed. Good luck.
