Re: my lab top is play music with sound
Have you checked your volume control? Click on the megaphone in the lower right corner and makwe sure all sliders are at least 3/4 of the way up and nothing is muted. Also go to the control panel and click on Audio and Sound devices and check each area to make sure settings are good, nothing muted.

Hopefully this helps. Right click on your volume control icon. Open the "Volume Mixer," and make sure that nothing has the mute X on. Then right click on "Volume Control," and make sure that the volume control is checked to play all sounds, and that your Speaker box is checked. Next step is your music, if the sound was muted directly @ the music playback, this could be the problem. Open your Media Player and try to play music, if you cannot hear it, click on the mute button to the song playing. If your Player was shut off in the "mute" mode, then you will not hear sound. It Happened to me once. You will need to check all of your "Players" to see if any of them were shut off in "mute."
That is unusual - pressing in case should not effect play - not like a tape drive would.
Are you playing from CD or Hard-drive?
If Cd - try copy music to hard-drive and see how it plays - if ok - then something may be rubbing on CD in CD-Player? But that would give read errors. Have to remove CD Player and clean it.
that message usually means that the audio file is the wrong format for that media player you can download a different player that plays that format, go into my computer and pull up the music files that dont play right click on one and select properties and it will tell you its format/file type
Windows Media Player cannot play several files in the playlist. This might be caused by one or more problems.
