Most wireless adapters will get hot during use.

Obviously the cooler it stays, the better it will operate and the longer it will last, but as long as there is adequate air flow around the device for cooling and the ambient temperature is reasonable, it should not be a problem.

Excessive heat may cause occasional loss of signal / connection or even total failure eventually, but unless the unit becomes to hot to even touch, it should continue to operate normally.

Hope that was helpful.

What is the difference between hot chocolate and cocoa powder?

Although the two names of drinks are used interchangeably, hot chocolate is a drink that's either made from real chocolate melted into milk or with packet hot chocolate powder. Cocoa powder is unsweetened and needs to be combined with sugar to create a sweeter drink.

In general hot chocolate is richer and sweeter than hot cocoa.

Do you have a connection guide for each screw (N, COMMON, A1...) ?

Screw terminals are color-coded on each switch. They vary by device.

Green screw always ground
Silver screw always neutral > except some 4 ways switches
Brass screw is hot > can be hot from breaker or hot wire going to load > or in 3-way switch can be hot traveler wires from other 3-way switch
Dark screw is hot > can be hot from breaker > or in 3-way switch is hot going to load

Single-pole switch:
2 brass screws > hot and load wires connect to either screw

3-way switch:
2 brass screws connect to travelers
dark screw goes to hot from breaker and hot to load

Switch-plug combo and pilot light switches:
dark screw goes to hot from breaker
silver screw to neutral, brass screw goes to load

Double switch:
dark screw goes to hot from breaker
brass screws each go to load

Receptacles:
brass screw goes to hot from breaker and to hot going to next receptacle
silver screw goes to neutral and to neutral going to next receptacle.

I want to make and older pc pickup a wireless signal what do i need

Darren,
There are several ways to achieve what you want!

One method does not require wireless equipment on your old PC. The Older PC must have a wired network interface and be connected to the netwotk that has the wireless device to which you want to connect. If that is the case, please comment back.

Otherwise, the older PC probably has a PCI bus on the motherboard, or the PC may have USB ports. I suggest that obtaining a USB Wireless interface may be the least difficult. A USB WiFi interface looks just like a flash drive and costs about the same as an 8GB flash drive.
An example of one would be an IoGear GWU523 USB WiFi adapter for less than $20 at Office Depot.
There are other brands, such as LinkSYS, NetGear, etc. It's best to obtain the same brand as the wireless device you may be trying to connect to.

Thanks for using FixYa!!

How to install wifi lan in acer laptop

If the laptop does not have a built-in WiFi, you need to buy an external Wireless Adapter.

There are lots of brands that offers wireless adapters, but you need to check with them about the system requirements of the device. You may select from the following:

Linksys
IOGEAR
Netgear

Check the links below for IOGEAR brand. It offers the GWU523 and GWU623. The GWU623 is the latest with wireless-N technology and the GWU523 is with wireless-G:

Hot water not really hot

I have never heard of this before, and have always piped dishwashers off the hot water line. Not to say it could not be done the other way, I would refer to the instructions that came with the dishwasher, and if they say to connect to the hot water line, to have the technician come back and fix it. If it says to connect to cold water line, then manufacturers know best.....Hope this helps
