Question about NetGear WGT624 Wireless Router

Tropical Storm Fay has confused my router!

Hi. I've had a lot of recent blackouts lately from Fay and now I can't use my router! When the power came back on, I noticed that my devices were no longer able to find my network, so I reset my Westell modem for at&t dsl and my d-link router. When I opened up my browser, at&t wanted to know my login information, which I had forgotten, so I reset the password but I still wasn't able to get on the internet with my router connected to the computer. When the modem was only connected to my computer then I could get internet, otherwise when the router was connected to the modem and my computer I couldn't. I decided to change to a netgear router but the problem still persists. I told both of them my password change and that it's PPPoE. What's the deal?! Thanks. I read about you guys in the paper.

If you have reset the modem then it will be un-bridge already. the configuration you need to the router is Automatic Configuration-DHCP and not PPPoEand change the local ip address of the router to 192.168.2.1 to avoid ip adress conflict between router and modem.

Sounds like the pressure regulator on the stove is going bad. The pressure regulator is located in the back. Your gas supply line should connect directly to it.

Cannot connect to Wireless with my Linksys WRT120N Router.


If you have 2 devices not be able to connect to it suddenly, then it is probably the router that changed, as opposed to it being the 2 devices changing at the same time. Sometimes wireless routers just go bad like that.Try a factory reset, and then set the appropriate settings back to where you need them. If that doesn't help, you likely need a new one.

Since you reset the router, the username and password were set back to its default values as well. For Netgear, the username and password is: Username = admin Password = password

Hi stella_bella,

I see that your D-link Router will not turn on or power up as you mentioned.

If I may ask Have you tried a different power source / Outlet?
also try ti find a different adapter with the same wattage on it and see if the Router will power ON using a different Power Adapter.

When did you notice your D-link not powering ON? was there any power surges lately, that can cause Router or Modem to get busted or damaged if ever you were either online or if the Router was turned on during the power surge.

The only thing you can basically do is try a different Power outlet or power source and a different Power Adapter of the same wattage to avoid damaging the Router more.

Hi!

Default username/password are:
Username: none (leave blank)
Password: admin (all small letters!)

If you've changed the default password, you'll have to reset the device, using the reset button on it's back.

D-Link DIR 300 router - Status LED and router doesn't work


Hi! I have a D-link DIR 300 wireless router.. I have the same concern before. what I did is, I did the hard reset by pressing the reset button for 20secs and after 20secs and the reset button is still press, I unplug the power from the back of the router and after 2secs plug in while reset button is press and press it for 30secs.. after that I unplug the power and plug in after 15secs. It should work, then u need to setup again the router in order to talk to the modem, if not.. and the device is still under warranty it needs to be replace...pls call your router manufacturer for replacement or if its still under 30 days, go to the store were u purchase the router.

1. Try to use a different wireless adapter on all available USB ports, if the problem remains then
2. turn off your PC unplug the power cord from the power socket, short the two legs of the power cable then leave it for 5min, then plug it into the power socket again and turn on the PC.

if this didnt work then you have a hardware problem with the USB ports.

yes purge it and pull vacuum then recharge it should be around 30or so lbs

Check all other wireless devices within the range of the router, cordless phones, cellular phones, etc.
Change the wireless channel on the router or possibly the other wireless devices.

2nd: check the Keep Alive setting in the router configuration if you have DSL. Set this accordingly
