Hi, we have a Whirlpool self-cleaning oven Model WBP36800. We turned on the back right burner and both fuses blew along with flipping our breaker. We replaced the two fuses, flipped breaker back on. Now oven door locked and our display panel does not work at all. Any suggestions, thanks!!

Hi. I have the same model whirlpool range but have no manual on how to operate the broil and self cleaning features as I got it used (free). Would you know of a link on the net where I might find it. Whirlpool site is useless as it keep saying refer to your use and care guide. DOH!

Everything works but oven will not heat. It stop right after a self cleaning. What could it be.

The thermostat in the back of the oven is out. You'll need to remove the oven and remove sheet metal from the back to get to that thermostat. Part number 9759243
Don't forget to flip circuit breaker off before removing the oven.
And, yeah, if the thermostat is out, usually it means that there may be a problem with the oven blower or the oven is installed incorrectly.

Bake or broil does not work

if an element itself had shorted it would not stop the other from working and you could inspect each element and see blistering as evidence.the pop you heard has to be in common with both elements but not the cook top[burners]so thats going to be the wiring in the back of range, or switching,[thermostat,clock timer or oven selector switch,depends on which model you have]you will have to pull range and remove back pannels.you will find an obivous burn't connection.too repair all new connections must be clean and tight,or will burn again.

souds as if a monitor switch has gone bad on your self clean latch mechanism.its continuing to lock and unlock door because the switch that tells the control that the dorr is unlkocked has gone bad and as a result continues to rotate constantly

i think you will find the power cord is burned this happens if it wasnt tightend up properly and gets loose turn the oven breaker off before you pull it out
