I had the same problem and I tried many things to fix it. Mine started
working again when I took an old speaker and turned it face down, then
put the mp3 player face up on the magnet (face of MP3 away from
magnet). I checked back a few days later and it was working with all
(or maybe most I haven't really checked) of the files intact. I thought
it might wipe out all of my files but figured that if I could get it to
work again it would be worth it. This might be extreme but I tried
running it out of battery which didn't work and pushing different
buttons in different sequences which didn't work either. I tried
pressing buttons simultaneously and for extended periods looking for
some sort of reinitialization process but nothing worked....it just
kept coming up with the corrupted message. I think it got corrupted
when I removed it from my PC without doing the "SAFELY REMOVE HARDWARE"
process on my PC. I won't be doing that again. I am really glad I
didn't throw the thing away!

Had "File System Corrupt!" message appear on my
RCA H115A after a bit over a year. PC wouldn't recognize it, and it wouldn't
stay turned on.
Following advice (thanks folks), I uncovered the screw under the barcode and
popped the back with the help of my knife. I didn't notice that the connection
from the hard drive was loose, but pulled it out, wiped everything off, and
reconnected. It worked!
They don't give this at the help desk, but it seems to be a common problem with
many models. Looks like the connection isn't very tight.
