Question about Dryers
The dryer stopped working in middle of the load. The heat is turning on but no rotation.
The dryer (LER7646E02, serial MH4086229, type 178-00) is 8 years old. Is it worth repairing?
Your problem could be as simple as a broken drive belt.. or an overtemp switch.... If you've never replaced the drive belt.. then that is in all probability your problem.. If you reach inside the dryer drum and try to rotate it.. does it offer any resistance like it is turning a motor pulley system or is it free to rotate with very little resistance ( would suggest the belt broke).. If the cost to repair exceeds the cost to replace then you'd be better off replacing.. However ..if it is just a drive belt.. then I would just replace that.. Hope that helps...
