Are you sure about the model number? The link below will take you to the Nikon website page that provides free manual downloads for all their products. I do not see any Coolpix cameras listed with the number 1600 as part of the I.D. Go to the link and check your camera's model number again. They have a free instruction manual download on singer website
On the homepage at the bottom look for instruction manual & click on it
It will take you to a page where there's a box put in the model number 8280 then click search
The second one is a free download
