Philips 64P8341 power blinks 6 times what does this error code mean?

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Not sure what the code means (mine occurred after a slight power surge...maybe an overheat or some kind of overload), but after leaving the tv off for 10-15 minutes the flashing stopped and the picture was fine on restart. I know you've probably figured this out already, but hope it helps somebody because Philips apparently does not want to make it easy to figure out what these codes mean.

I, too, have the 6 blinks of a red light. I found another person online that suggested that perhaps the power cord was "defective" as it's a common issue. I replaced the power cord with one from an old computer (they're the same cord) and it seems to be OK now. That's all I can offer you at this time.

This is an Error code indicating a problem with the Control Module or power supply. Possibly an overtemp. You NEED your user guide to know what this error code means.

This tv had problem with ssb ( small signal board), go to ecompass.com , just provide model number tv.

We unplugged the tv for 2 minutes. Plugged it back in, turned it on- had to press the on button twice. I am now watching the tv.

sounds like the LSB large signal board.Its a common symptom You can get a replacement at the following link.
