Question about Sansui VRDVD4005 DVD Player/VCR
This is a cool recorder, but I've found that the discs I make will ONLY play on this machine. I cannot play them on any other DVD player, whether stand-alone or in a computer. Needless to say, that makes the discs practically worthless. Anybody else have this problem? Is there a way to find out what kind of encoding is used, so as to figure out if the data is retrievable?
I have the same problem with a brand new HP Pavilion PC running Windows Vista with a LightScribe DVD reader. I downloaded the latest driver from LightScribe, but the system refuses to recognize it. A request for help from HP hasn't been answered yet.
My son has the same problem with his custom machine running Windows XP.
