Have you tried recovering your password? Yahoo has ways that you can reset your password. Do you have another email address attached to the yahoo one? That way Yahoo knows where to send a password reset.

First you need to make sure that the request to change the password is legitimately from Yahoo. Sometimes fraudulent emails from say Yahoo or Ebay will be sent to your account and it is not actually from the company but a hacker trying to get you to click on the link which will take you to a fake site that looks exactly like the real one. Anytime you get an email like this, you need to open up another tab and type in the website directly to log on. If you are unsure if it is real or not you can log on like this and change your email just in case but NEVER click on a link that looks suspicious from your email, even if it is claiming to be a site that you are affiliated with. This is called phishing. If you go directly to a site and can't log in, you will have to go through the security procedures to reset your password or have it sent to an alternative email that you usually set up when you sign up for a new account. Since you are desparate in getting the old email back, I believe the email address shown above belongs to someone else.
It is easier to get a brand new email address from yahoo or gmail or hotmail. The company's give you email address and they delete it as soon as the employee leaves the company.
So, my suggestion is not to waste time chasing the email address which probably does not exist.
Goto www.gmail.com and signup for a new email address.
