Question about Televison & Video

Casio 2.3 Is this tv not going to be good anymore after Feb. 2009 with all this annalog/etc. business going on? Thanks for answering the question.

If I understand your answer to my question: handheld small portable tv's will NOT be of anymore use to anyone, after Feb. 2009, correct, since the tv is operating off it's own antenna that picks up local stations. Such a waste and shame for us that own these and are in perfect working condition and will be totally useless after Feb. Wonder what's going to happen to vans/campers/etc. that have the built in tv's? Hopefully they'll be able to hookup to the receivers. Thanks for your response to my original questiion.

The analog to digital only applies to television sets that are operating off of a rabbit ear or out door antenna that picks up local stations, or cable television without the cable box/receiver. If you have satellite television or cable with the receivers, your televisions will continue to work after the analog to digital transition.

There are adapters for televisions with the screw in antennas that turn it into a coax outlet. The size of the television has nothing to do with the conversion to digital. I've set up plenty of people with DirecTV in RVs who had small televisions.

I neet to program a dish network universal remote to my ccd tv. how do i do it?

To program the remote to your TV we would need the model # on the back of the remote at the top. To do it yourself you can check out the link provided below to get the codes for TV manufacturers, DVD's, amplifiers, etc.

To program the remote to the TV
1. Turn TV on.
2. Hold TV button on top of remote until all the mode lights turn on.
3. Let go and the TV button will blink. Enter the code found at link below and hit #.
4. Try the use the remote, if it works then push SAT and you're good to go. If not repeat steps 2 and 3 to try a different code.

Device code?

Rukidn79,

I was unsure which device you're looking for a code for so I included a link that has codes for all equipment including TV manufacturers, DVD players, amplifiers, etc. You can look up the code and your equipment type. Also below is a basic way to program your remote to a TV.

1. With TV on, hold down the TV button on top of the remote until all lights turn on.
2. Let go and it will blink. Enter code and press #
3. Try functions of remote. If works put SAT and you're good to go. If not then repeat steps 1 and 2 with another code.

in feb when free air signels become digatal you should then be able to record your programs because your box is set to a digatal format and will not record the old analog signels

DVR remote not working on tv 2

The receiver is more than likely in single mode. Go to the receiver and ensure the green and blue lights are both on. If not press the door on the right of the receiver and press the mode button until the amber light illuminates closest to the green light. If it will not do this you can press the front panel power button and see if that will allow you to be able to do so , if not try unplugging the unit from the electrical receptacle for thirty seconds and try again. if these fail you will need a service call to have the receiver replaced.

As for the other receiver recording on all four tv's I can not answer that as I do not know the cabling system at your home and whether there are switches etc. It is really an issue that needs to be addressed with more specifics as to all hardware in the system or dealt with by a technician.

I will be more than happy to troublleshoot this for you if you can tell me the other receiver type and if there are any switches in the system and what type of dish you have e.g. 1000.2, Super Dish, or a two dish solution.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Digital converter box

Greetings kathy76turne,

In February 2009 you will be unable to receive ANY analog television signals therefore the digital converter box will be a necessity to receive any over the air broadcasts.

I am unable to answer the question about the mini van's electrical capability, however you might find the following link handy to get more information.
