I had to replace the write unit in a panasonic DP-190 and now the copies come out blank. I've taken the machine apart 3 times and even tried to put the old write unit back in with no luck. I've checked and reseated connections and also changed drum and developer and the trasfer roller seems to be ok. Any ideas?

Re: DP-190 Blank Copies
By the write unit i guess you mean the LSU. If you've already ruled out the the image drum and transfer roller you're only left with a few possibilities. I'm also guessing this fault only happened after you replaced the LSU??
1 is there something obstructing the beam from the scanner to the image drum.
2 have you damaged one of the 2 harnesses going into the LSU (check the contiuity) also check the connections on the system board.
3 The high voltage power supply may be faulty.
4 The system board may be faulty.

have u taken out the internal report out .if the internal report is ok then u have to check the optics .check whether the lamp is working or not .also chek the mirrors.
if the internal report is not ok then u have to chek the laser unit as it can also be faulty
see the cartridge do is good installed. Remove the cartridge and putt it again. If the problem do not go away please try with other cartridge. Or if the printer is ink-jet printer and you have not used it for some time than the ink can be stuck
I have never heard of a developer moving backwards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???
the motor that runs it, the .... there is too much involved to mention. A developper moving backwards will spill so much toner in the machine anyway.
If you get a copy and then it goes blank, that tells me you have a problem with the SEPERATION UNIT, it may be shorting out causing the paper to rise against the drum giving you blank copies.
A blurr copy tells me there is a problem with the Scanner/Optics area. maybe the rails that the scanner run on are too dry or has a problem, the optics(mirrors) may be misaligned.
Not sure what you mean by (hanging) ??
