Question about 2wire 2700HG-B Router (2700HGB)
When in the setup of the WAP54G Linksys Wireless Access Point, the setup software is not able to detect the WAP on the network to setup. Is the router not compatable with Access Points, or is there a setting that must be changed in the router??
The ip address of the 2wire router might be different from the ip address being used by the wap54g (ip address is 192.168.1.245 by default) that's why it's not being detected.
you need to directly connect the wap54g to a computer and set the computer to use a static ip address (ex. 192.168.1.240) and run the cd that came with the wap54g. you need to set the ip address of the wap54g to the same segment being used by your router to make them see each other
hope this'll help you and just ask me if you have other concern
