Question about Computers & Internet
SOURCE: Asus w2v laptop keyboard problem
Press Fn + Numlock. You have the number lock on, but laptops don't have a number pad. So it re-assigns these keys to overlay some existing ones. Once your number lock is turned off you should be ok.

Hi Lornadeee, Sounds like you have the Set Access and Defaults activated. Click on your Start button and look for that program and click on it. You can Unactivate it there. Good Luck.

SOURCE: keyboard malfunction
Under the keyboard is a ribbon connecting the keyboard to the motherboard. Use the fabric tab a gently pull it off and plug it back in again.
You didn't mention your particular model, so this is only general info. You'll need only two tools, a straight slot and a phillip's screw driver. the phillips is pretty small. Understand warranty issues may arise...I am not sure if you're still under warranty. I will give you a link to look at and show you how to do the operation...It really not that bad, take your time and be gentle.. One more thing...on the backside check to see if all of the screws are snug. Please leave rating...thank you
