When you adjsuted for the blue you were actually adjusting the voltages to the CRTs (lamps) which in turn shut them down. You will need to turn each one of the dials up agin untill your tubes stay lit, then the coolant in the green and blue CRTs will need to be changed as the green evidently is contaminated thereby making the blue dominant. But when you turn down the G2 controls your actually turning down the High voltage to the picture tubes thats why they dropped out on you.

change the coolant in the CRTs thats what causes the halp effect and makes the colors abnormal. You can get a Coolant change kit at the following link which contains all the coolant and the complete step by step instructions on CD with pictures. Its listed under their repair kit category. Here is the link.

I have the RCA HDTV rear projection 52" and you use either the remote or the on/off button on the tv and it turns green you hear the static and have sound but no picture and then it powers back off. ...

I've encountered many of these televisions from RCA with poor solder connections, on the deflection supply module. This is furthest left module when facing the rear of tv. Has a red wire coming from a plastic enclosed transformer. Check beneath the transformer for cracked or open solder connections. Good luck and be carefull to press back the large plastic retaining tabs on outside of and near center front and rear to release the module. If you have a magnifying glass you may see a noticeable ring around some connections. Use a pencil iron please! Not too much heat.

Need solution

Appreciate the direct "Ask Me".

Your concern with an RCA D52W26 is when you attempt to turn it on, it powers up as indicated by the LED lights but they then power OFF a few seconds later? or it powers on then you get to see bright line(s) left to right, then the TV powers OFF? or it powers on but only bklinking LED lights? If yes on the last any sequence to the flashing/blinking?

Hope that this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
