1. Check the entrance filters to unit.
2. Check the fan to make sure it is moving air.
3. Make sure floor vents not closed off.

If these dont correct the problem you may a leak, which has caused a low charge. When this happens the refrigirant level drops creating a freezing condition in the evaperator coil. Hence it freezes up.

Hope this helps you

Can i use a different blower relay

Yes. The coil voltage, number of poles must match. And if it fits a socket, the pin configuration also.

Central air compressor is running but no air is blowing inside?

II assume you mean the outside unit is running. if so turn off your system immediately. If no air is coming out of the registers, the blower motor in the air handler is not running and/or the system has froze up. Check to see if you have any ice on the large copper line coming out of your inside unit. There will be rubber insulation on it but just pull it back on the pipe right at the inside unit and you should be able to see ice. Take the service panel off the air handler(inside unit) and turn fan on at the thermostat. There is an "on" and "auto" fan switch on the thermostat. Go back and look in the air handler and see if the fan is running .If it is then you have a refrigerant problem. If the fan is not running then it will be a run capacitor, bad motor, no 24 volt power to relay, bad relay, bad thermostat, bad board if fan relay is solid state, or a bad conductor from the thermostat. Hope this helps. You will probably have to get an a/c tech to troubleshoot either of the above problems more thoroughly to correct it permanently. If the system is froze up and the fan is working then the system is low on refrigerant. This means the system has a leak. The leak will have to be found and repaired before the system is recharged or the refrigerant will just leak back out again.

My drain pan is leaking

You need to access the evaporator coil on the inside of your air handler and unplug the drain for the condensate. It should be the 3/4 inch line, if the 1/2 inch line is capped then it is not doing anything and has probably been abandoned.Open up the unit and clean the drip pan and drain hole where the 3/4 line starts. This should clear up your water leak problem.
Also
Water leak due to dust block in air filter, cooling coil, drain pan and blower wheel.

Goodman/Amana air handler freezing up and not cooling home. What could be causing it?

Hi,
There are two things that cause freeze up's...

Low air flow...

Low freon...

First check the filters, the blower , and the air vents to make sure that the air handler unit can move enough air...not enough air across the coil, the coil gets too cold, ice forms....

The low freon problem will require professional assistance...
For the system to be low there needs to be a leak...the leak must be found and repaired or the fix will only be temporary...
To do this the system refrigerant must be recovered, the leak fixed and then the system vacuumed and recharged...

One other thing....outdoor air temperatures under say 65 F can also cause freezing.... but I am assuming that you are above that if you are running your A/C system.

Have had ice and snow here in ATL. Today heat in Weather King RCBA 3765 GG17 would not come on. Checked Breakers, A/C breaker was tripped. Reset breaker, checked for ice in condenser (W/K 10PJA 3701),...

Try R to G instead. The red is the 24v side. Greeen is the blower. You should also have 24v ac between r and c (brown or black) at the air handler. You can check at the condenser for power also. Turn the unit on at the thermostat and go outside to check thermostat wires between y and common (probably brown or black). Possible a transformer went bad. If it were a problem with the air handler or the condenser, one would run and the other wouldnt. In this case neither run so you have to look at what controls both. I say transformer or thermostat. If you find 24v in either place, its not the transformer.

Hi,
You need to check if the air handler fan running.Suppose if you donot see it then, check to see if the fan on the outside unit is running. If the fan on the outside unit is not running either, check to make sure that the breakers for the furnace/air handler and the air conditioner are on. Also if the breaker is not tripped, then the problem may be your thermostat, the furnace/air handler control board, or the wires between the furnace/air handler and the thermostat.

Let us know if you need further assistance.
