Blinking Amber - System fault error condition including Power Supply (only +5VSB working), V reg (Voltage Regulator) failure, missing or bad CPU etc.1 and 3 LED"s indicatesMemory configuration error.
Just to make sure thatnothing else is causing the problem, remove any PCI cards like modem, videocard, sound card, etc... Remove the memory modules and disconnect cables toCD/DVD drives. Look at the USB ports to see if any are damaged.

Cant turn my computer on and there is a yellow blinking light

How many blinks? Count and notice the patterns of the blinks (3 long blinks or 1 long blink followed by two short blinks).

Remove the Power Cord, Open the Case and remove one of thememory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x onit with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the nextmemory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set itaside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If itboots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and putit into the open memory chip slot and try booting. If all the above fails, you problem could be your Video Card or a motherboard issue.

My Dell Dimension 5100C will not come out of sleep mode. Everytime i press the power button, the light blinks orange and keeps blinking ,no noise from the inside or anything. It Just stays in hibernate...

the continuously blinking yellow litght indicates that the power supply gets juice from the line but cannot distribute powe to the components. the first thing to do is to check and see if the power supply is working. dell power supplys have a test button, if you turn the computer around and hold the button on the power supply down for a few seconds the light should turn green, if it dosen't then you need a new power supply. if the power supply is ok, turn the computer on and have a look at the diagnostic lights (on the back, labeled 123 and 4) if you call the dell support line and tell them your model number (or give them the service tag) and which of those lights are on they will be able to tell you what the problem is. if you are still in warranty they will fix you, if not they will direct you to someone who can.
