Question about Hampton Bay 24750 Huntington III Ceiling Fan

1 Answer

NO Reverse switch

I have no reverse switch located on my Hampton Bay fan. Is there any way to change the direction of the fan. I tried spinning it in and cut power and pressed the medium speed on the remote but this does not work. My fan I bought with no remote and just installed it everything works but it is going in the wrong direction.
Please Help
Larry

we have the same problem, it will only go in one diretion and will not reverse itself. There is no reverse switch on the fan itself - please advise what to do.

How do i change the direction of the rotation of the blades on a model 52-DA? I understand it's done through the remote control but I don't have the instructions for the remote.

There may be a switch on the side of the wiring housing to effect reverse rotation. If the remote does not have a fan reversal button, it can't reverse rotation.

I have a ceiling fan that the blades are in reverse mode. Where should the switch that changes the blades direction be located?

Helo there:
providing that this has that capability the switch will be on the side of the housing of the fan or on the very top. ok?

Hampton Bay 52 In. Clarington. How do I reverse the fan?

Try these two: 1) look for a small switch up near the light area on the dark-colored area of the fan. If a switch is there, then simply flip the switch to the other position; 2) if you have a remote control for the fan, the reverse mode may appear on the remote control. Hope this helps.

Can't figure out how to reverse the Hampton fan with the remote

I have the Hampton Bay Windward II Ceiling Fan SKU 523-127. I have replaced various parts over the years including the ballast, light shade, 9" 30 Watt Circline bulb and the remote.

Hampton Bay Windward II Ceiling Fan SKU 523-127 was sold by Home Depot, and manufactured by King of Fans.

King of Fans website is: http://www.kingoffans.com
This fan can be seen by clicking on Products --> Ceiling Fans --> Click on page 9 (at the bottom of the webpage) then click on the Windward II fan picture, then you will be able to click on Download Owner's Guide.

Hampton Bay Remote

You must use the switch on the fan itself.

The reverse switch is always located on the fan housing itself.  You cannot reverse using the remote.  Look for a black slide switch, probably located on the top surface of the fan housing so you cannot see it easily without a ladder.
