Question about Pioneer Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

Good afternoon Gentlemen, I have a Stereo amplifier SA-7800. The problem that I have is when I listen to the music I set the mode selector to the stereo mode or all other mode, the sound of the column left side is louder than the right side. I change the connection of the speaker wire (right to left and left to right) in the rear of the amplifier and the problem is switching to the left side I mean the right side is playing louder thant the left side. Do you know a good and honnest repair place in Montreal or Montreal area that I can rely to repair my stereo sound system? As you seen by the model of my stereo amplifier it's not and recent one but it's one of the most reliable sytsmtem that Pioneer manufacture on the market my other components are Stereo tuner TX7800 and 2 speakers HPM-100. I own it since since 1978. Thanks Gentlemen for your help and quick response.

NHT sa-2 amplifier won't go into standby mode after 10 Minutes of no signal

Does the NHT sa-2 have it's own pre-amp? Because I'm wondering if the power off only works when it's own pre-amp is used? So when your receiver is connected it's shut off.

You could try something connected to it's own pre-amp (if it has one) and see if it goes off when there's no signal from that.

How to connect speakers to RCA model #RP-8070D

This unit is just a 5 disc CD player and cannot drive large speakers all by itself. Normally it is hooked up to a stereo receiver / amplifier which is what provides the power to drive the speakers which are wired to the back of the stereo amplifier.

If you have a home stereo, then just run the cables from the 2 AUDIO OUT connectors on the back of your CD player to the CD IN connectors on the back of your stereo.

Then turn your stereo on and select CD on your stereo input mode selector and you should be able to play the cds on your RCA and hear them through the stereo speakers.

If you do not have a stereo amplifier with speakers to connect it to, then you can always listen to it through headphones connected to the headphone jack.

Or if you have a set of self powered amplified speakers, like the kind you hook up to a computer, then you can run the AUDIO OUT cable from your cd player into those as well.

Good luck.

I have a Pioneer SA 1050. All the lights come on

check your speaker selector switch to see if its on the correct setting ie; speakers one ( not speakers 2 ) also check your speaker cables by reversing them, ie; put right speaker cable into left channel and vice versa with the left etc? check also to see if your amp is set to headphone output by mistake in which case no sound will come out until you select the speakers instead? good luck.

My sharp Stereo is stuck in '' protect'' mode

Protect mode is not something that a reset will fix. Basically it indicates that there is a problem with the final output stage of the amplifier. Normally this indicates that the output transistors are defective. In most boomboxes, the amplifier is a single IC. If you can post the model number, I can provide you with the required part and cost.

Bose amplifier does not work with a 6 speaker selector

your wall speakers may not be connected.... disconnect each speaker from the selector box and test with a small AAA battery to see if they are connected by putting the battery between each speaker's wires , you will hear it crackle ,then gradually connect each wall speaker onto the speaker connector box . If the first set does not work i suggest there may be a problem with your speaker selector box . Good luck
