For jandj232301.... Most likely your print head is clogged, there are 2,00 some nozzle's in it. If the printer is not used for a moderate amount of time the ink can dry up and cause a clog in those nozzle's. You can try doing a printhead clean from the main menu, or homecenter->?->maintenance. Then after that do a calibration, print a demo sheet to see if there is any improvment. The printhead clean pushes ink through the nozzles to try to clear clogs. The calibration scans those nozzles to see which are avalible to use, and makes sure that all the avalible nozzles are being used. If this does not fix the problem you most likely need a printhead but you will have to call kodak; as they are not avalible in stores. Also you can try updating your firmware from kodak home center, or

SOURCE: changed cartridge, closed the lid now wont stop

Did you properly or surely remove the sealer on the cartridge? If you did it, then you should try the following below:
1) Take the cartridge off and put it back, make sure is in the right way.
2) Push the cleaner bar all the way were it belongs.
3) Press the "on" button for 10 seconds.
4) Disconnect the printer and have re-start.
5) Call a friend that knows about electronics.

Also, you could check HP's website. You can troubleshoot your particular problem here:…

SOURCE: says copier lid open

The small "sensor" that should "trip" when you close the lid is not engaging. Blow a little compressed-air into that micro-switch, so that it works correctly.

How do I change ink cartridges onEpson Stylus SX425W printer. Apart from lifting the scanner I cant see any buttons to press and the present cartridges wont move along to enable me to eject the black one.

Turn the printer on.
Lift the lid that covers the print-head mechanism.
In a few seconds, the print-heads will slide to a position where the ink-cartridge can be removed.
Then, "unlock" the ink-cartridge from its socket, and gently remove it.
Replace it.
Then, "lock" the ink-cartridge into place, and close the lid.
Print a test-page.

Top lid will not close after fixing a paper jam

Often times the lid will not close if the toner cartridge is out of place. Will the lid close with the toner cartridge removed? If it does then reinstall the toner cartridge and make sure that it is fully seated.

I lifted the lid to change the ink cartridge and the cartridges go to the left and then back to the right where I cannot get to them

Withe power on, lift the lid, on light will flash, wait 15-20 seconds, manually pull the ink cartridge to the left. It will not return untill you close the lid again. If you cahnge the ink you will get the question about which ink cartridge did you just change, this happens the first time you want to print something. Answer the question and you are done done.

Thanks for using FixYa. Turn the printer on. Now raise the lid of the cartridge cage and wait for the cartridge carrier to slide out. Lift the cartridge holder lid and remove the cartridge. Before installing the new Cartridge, remove the tape from the ink opening point on the bottom. Now insert the new cartridge into the cartridge case and close the cartridge holder lid. Close printer cover. After doing all the above steps, print a test page.

Get message error change cartriges the cartriges are new

All cartridge installation and level reporting is done through the printer itself, not the software. You should ensure the X125 has the cartridges installed in stand alone mode first. To do so, open the lid and remove the cartridges. Then unplug the power cord for one minute. Reinsert the cartridges, connect the power cord and close the lid. When the lid is closed, the display will ask you if "New" or "Old" cartridges were installed. If new, align the cartridges, if asked to do so. If this still presents you with a "Change Cartridge" message or something similar, please try a different cartridge.

Print Cartridge wont fit back on properly

Take the print cartridge out. Close the lid and turn the unit on...the carrier will go the the left and buzz (finding home position) . lift he lid, look at the back of you print cartridge and you will find a little silver ball. rotate this until it is at the top (12 oclock) put it back in the machine and close the mechanism...firm but not too hard, it should click...close the lid and it should home out should see the printwheel move...that should do it.
